We needed Boston to win by six more points for yesterday's 7/1 treble to land, and there are seven more NBA games for us to enjoy on Thursday night, as we attempt to go one better.

The Denver Nuggets will attempt to reclaim the top seed in the West when they face the New York Knicks, while the Orlando Magic take on the New Orleans Pelicans. Those two matches, as well as a match-up between Milwaukee and Brooklyn, feature in our NBA Betting Tips for Thursday's action.

NBA Betting Tips - Thursday, March 21

  • New Orleans Pelicans -2.5 vs Orlando Magic @ 10/11
  • Milwaukee Bucks -8.5 vs Brooklyn Nets @ 5/6
  • New York Knicks +8.5 vs Denver Nuggets @ EVS

Treble pays 6/1

New Orleans Pelicans -2.5 vs Orlando Magic @ 10/11

Both teams are looking to strengthen their postseason prospects here, although the Magic clinched at least a play-in spot when they defeated the visiting Charlotte Hornets 112-92 on Tuesday night.

New Orleans will be confident they can join Thursday's opponents in the postseason, as they currently sit in fifth place in the Western Conference standings after they toppled the Brooklyn Nets 104-91 last time out for their seventh victory in eight games.

Orlando have won 12 of their past 15 games, but their past 10 wins have come against teams with losing records, and the Pelicans are much stronger on the defensive end.

Zion Williamson is starting to look like the player we saw dominate college basketball, and I can't see the Magic slowing him down here.

Pelicans -2.5 at 10-11

Milwaukee Bucks -8.5 vs Brooklyn Nets @ 5/6

The Milwaukee Bucks are looking to bounce back from their defeat against the Boston Celtics when they play host to the Brooklyn Nets here.

There's no shame in losing to the Celtics, especially at home, as they currently look like the best team in the NBA, but Milwaukee will be disappointed to lose that match-up, as they'll be desperate to prove their title credentials.

While there remains a chance Brooklyn could find their way into the play-offs, it appears unlikely. The Nets only have two wins in their last nine games, having lost four in a row heading into this one.

Bucks star Giannis Anetokounmpo missed the Celtics defeat due to injury, and it remains unclear whether he'll be absent once again, but nevertheless, Milwaukee should have enough to cover here without him on the floor.

Milwaukee Bucks to cover 8.5 spread at 5-6

New York Knicks +8.5 vs Denver Nuggets @ EVS

The last time the Knicks had something like a full-strength roster, they handed the Nuggets a 38-point loss.

However, since then they've struggled with numerous injuries but come into this game in good form, winning their last four outings.

The Nuggets continue to look an imposing outfit, but made hard work of their victory over Minnesota last time out, squandering a 15-point half-time lead before mounting a fourth-quarter comeback to win 115-112.

The 84 points that Denver scored against New York in their January meeting was their lowest offensive output of the season, but it would be foolish to think those numbers will happen again. However, I believe the Knicks will have a solid gameplan for the Nuggets offense, and I think NY can cover here.
