Wimbledon Betting Tips: Anisimova can put Sabalenka to work

The Wimbledon semi-finals begin on Thursday and the action from the Women's draw takes place in the afternoon, which features a highly-anticipated clash between world number one Aryna Sabalenka and Amanda Anisimova.
It is this match that I focus on for my Wimbledon Betting Tips, which you can check out below.

Set Betting - Aryna Sabalenka to beat Amanda Anisimova 2-1 @ 11/4
Sabalenka is hoping to make it to the Wimbledon final for the first time in her career, and this is her third-straight appearance in the semi-finals. They did not come in concurrent years, however, as she did not take part here in 2024 or 2022.
The Belarusian came back though because she is in the best form of her career, which all started with her Australian Open triumph in 2023. She has since gone on to add another two Grand Slam titles to her name since then but she remains two shy of completing the set.
She was denied her first-ever French Open crown by Coco Gauff in June, which is likely to have fueled her for her return to SW19. The 27-year-old hasn't quite dominated at the Championships as some people may have expected this summer, as three of her five matches to date have featured a tie break.
Sabalenka defeated British star Emma Raducanu in straight sets, but the youngster provided plenty of problems for her, and on another day may have even come away with the victory.
However, as has been the case throughout the tournament, Sabalenka's Grand Slam-winning experience has come to the fore and helped her through her tricky spells - just like it did against Laura Siegemund last time out. To some, Sabalenka's last match was an example of cracks showing, but to me, it showed her resilience under pressure.

Anisimova will likely be thinking the former as the youngster bids to reach her first-ever Grand Slam final. The American is enjoying a strong grass-court season, with 11 wins in her last 13, so it is form that Sabalenka should be concerned about.
The world number one will also be troubled by their head-to-head record, which Anisimova leads 5-3. However, they have never met on this particular surface so there it does offer a clean slate of some sorts, and Sabalenka does have the momentum of having won two of the past three meetings.
Both players will be determined to bring their A-game - which they will need to beat the other. Anisimova's strong power can cause problems for Sabalenka, whose movement can be vulnerable against big hitting on grass. This strategy will need to be flawless, though, as such methods often play to Sabalenka's strengths, and her rich experience is something that cannot be overlooked.
Sabalenka constantly proves that she rises to the big occasion, which can be seen in the fact that she has beaten her opponent in the last two times they have played at a major, with the latest coming at Roland Garros last month.
They were both wrapped up in straight sets but the way Anisimova is playing right now, coupled with the openings Sabalenka has been leaving for her opponents during this tournament, I think this semi-final will go the distance, which is sure to provide plenty of entertainment on Centre Court.
I do get the appeal of backing Anisimova, but I think Sabalenka's Grand Slam success will help see her through to a fourth consecutive major final - and her first in SW19.
