Wimbledon Betting Tips: Sinner-Djokovic to go the distance

The Wimbledon Women's singles semi-finals lived up to the billing on Thursday, and now attention turns to the men's draw on Friday, with the two places in the final up for grabs. Two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz takes on Taylor Fritz, while world number one Jannik Sinner faces 24-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic in a repeat of the French Open semi-finals.
Below you will find my Wimbledon Betting Tips for Friday, July 11.

Set Betting - Carlos Alcaraz to beat Taylor Fritz 3-1 @ 12/5
American Fritz is in the semi-finals at SW19 for the first time in his career, advancing one round further than he managed one year ago, losing to Lorenzo Musetti in the quarter-finals.
The 27-year-old has had to work extremely hard to get to this point and with the greatest respect to his opponents at the Championships over the past 10 days, only one of them was in the top 20 rankings.
That was Karen Khachanov, who Fritz defeated in the last round but it was a match that did go the distance. The one-time Grand Slam finalist is about to face a drastic step up in challenge against reigning champion Alcaraz, who is still exuding brilliance whilst not being at his explosive best.
The Spaniard cruised to a straight-sets victory over Cameron Norrie last time out, which was a little surprising given how the Brit had been performing over the duration of the tournament. He will relish this opportunity against the current world number five as it can help spark him into life at the right time ahead of a potential rematch against one of Sinner or Djokovic.
We've seen it before from the 22-year-old, and his might on court can be shown that even on an average day, he's still usually too much to handle for his opponents. Fritz will be fired up for his first semi-final at Wimbledon and he'll look to knock Alcaraz off his perch, but better players than him have tried.
The American can still cause problems for Alcaraz but considering Alcaraz's success on the biggest stages, and the 2-0 lead he has in their head-to-head record, I think the Spanish star will advance to his third consecutive final in SW19.
His movement and ability to thrive in a variety of situations should once again stump Fritz, and I think this match will be wrapped up in four sets.

Set Betting - Jannik Sinner to beat Novak Djokovic 3-2 @ 4/1
There is no doubt that this is the most exciting match of the day, and I am going to be very envious of those inside Centre Court soaking up every second of this contest.
Sinner showed drastic levels of improvement in his last match against Ben Shelton, beating the American in straight sets, following his bye through the round of 16 after Grigor Dimitrov retired. The Italian looked shaky against the Bulgarian but there were pure moments of brilliance in his clash with Shelton.
The world number one is still suffering a few issues with his right elbow, but it wasn't enough to stop him from delivering some exquisite tennis. Sinner will need to find another level again on Friday as he faces arguably the greatest tennis player to ever grace the sport in Djokovic.
The 38-year-old Serbian is desperate for his 25th major title which would set him apart from the two icons of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, and with seven Wimbledon crowns already, this is a happy hunting ground for him.
So this is very much tennis' past against tennis' future, and it has all the makings to be a real Wimbledon spectacle. Sinner has had the better of this match up in recent times, winning each of their past four contests, and I think this streak will continue on Friday.
Djokovic's best years are behind him and he is 38 years of age now, so he cannot move like his 23-year-old counterpart can. However, he still has a wealth of experience and seven Championships behind him, and he tends to serve up his best stuff on grass.
This is also not considered Sinner's strongest surface, which could also give the veteran a helping hand, as well as the Italian's elbow potentially. This is going to be Sinner's biggest test at Wimbledon but one I think he will rise to - but Djokovic's hunger has me thinking that this match will go the distance.
