The action is starting to hot up at Roland-Garros as the Paris 2024 Olympic Tennis tournaments enter the final few rounds. Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz are two of the star names playing Men's Singles today and the Spaniard is also featuring in the Men's Doubles alongside court favourite Rafael Nadal, a match sure to attract attention.

'Nadalcaraz' feature in my Wednesday Tennis betting tips as I pick out three selections to consider below.

Olympic Tennis Men's Singles - Lorenzo Musetti (ITA) to beat Tommy Fritz (USA) 2-1 @ 3/1

Lorenzo Musetti was forced to a tiebreaker in the first set of his Olympic Tennis Men's Singles round of 32 tie with Mariano Navone on Tuesday, but the Italian prevailed in straight sets (7-6, 6-3) against the Argentine to continue his perfect start to the tournament.

The 22-year-old beat Frenchman Gael Monfils (6-1, 6-4) in the first round and now faces an American, Tommy Fritz, in the last 16.

Like Musetti, Fritz won his tournament opener in straight sets, beating Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik (6-4, 6-4), but was forced to come from behind against Great Britain's Jack Draper (6-7, 6-3, 6-2) yesterday to set up an exciting clash with the Italian.

The head-to-head is currently tied 2-2 but the momentum is with Musetti as he has won both matches between the pair this year, the first of which took place on clay court at the Monte-Carlo Masters in April (6-4, 6-4).

The pair also met at Wimbledon, Musetti losing the first set before taking three of the next four to win 3-2 (3-6, 7-6, 6-2, 3-6, 6-1).

Musetti's recent form - the Italian reached the final of the Croatia Open last weekend - marks him as slight favourite to reach the quarter-finals, and I'm backing him to do so, though I think he will drop his first set of the tournament on Wednesday.

Olympic Tennis Men's Singles - Daniil Medvedev (Wrl) to beat Felix Auger-Aliassime 2-1 @ 11/4

Later in the day is the eighth installment of Daniil Medvedev versus Felix Auger-Aliassime after both players sailed past their first two opponents in Paris.

Medvedev eased past Australian Rinky Hijikata (6-2, 6-1) in the first round before dispatching Austrian Sebastian Ofner (6-2, 6-2) to book a last 16 berth, while Auger-Aliassime got the better of American Marcos Giron (6-1, 6-4) in his opening match and subsequently dropped just a single game in a convincing last 16 victory over German Maximilian Marterer (6-0, 6-1).

The Canadian is unlikely to have it as easy on Wednesday, though, as he faces former world number one Medvedev, who he has never beaten.

The pair first met in Toronto in August 2018 and played their most recent match in January this year, the Russian triumphing in straight sets (6-3, 6-4, 6-3) in the Australian Open.

Medvedev and Auger-Aliassime have never faced each other on clay, however, and given it is not the former's preferred surface, Auger-Aliassime will be eyeing this up as a great opportunity to break his duck against the 28-year-old.

Certainly, the Canadian can push his opponent to a third set, ending both players' perfect run at the Paris 2024 Olympics, with Auger-Aliassime having more time to recover after finishing Tuesday's match earlier in the afternoon compared to Medvedev's late-night victory at Roland-Garros.

However, Auger-Aliassime still wears the mental scars inflicted by his previous seven defeats to the Russian which may prove the difference as the match enters its final stages.

Daniil medvedev to beat felix auger-aliassime 2-1 @ 11-4

Olympic Tennis Men's Doubles - Carlos Alcaraz/Rafael Nadal (SPA) to beat Austin Krajicek/Rajeev Ram (USA) @ 4/9

Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal lost a tiebreaker in the second set against Dutch duo Tallon Griekspoor and Wesley Koolhof on Tuesday but eased to victory in the 10-point deciding tiebreaker to emerge 2-1 winners (6-4, 6-7, 10-2), booking their spot in the quarter-finals of the Olympic Tennis Men's Doubles.

The Spaniards must navigate their way past a couple of Americans on Wednesday, though, if they wish to reach the final four of the competition.

Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram have won both of their matches at Roland-Garros in straight sets, beating Australians Alex De Minaur and Alexei Popyrin (6-2, 6-3) on Monday before triumphing against a pair of Brazilians - Thiago Monteiro and Thiago Seyboth Wild (6-4, 7-6) - the following day.

'Nadalcaraz' will pose the Americans far more problems, however, and they may be unable to answer them. The crowds at Roland-Garros are well behind the clay court specialists, and despite huge 'Team USA' support in Paris, Krajicek and Ram will be fighting to drown out the support for the Spaniards.
