Tennis Betting Tips: Musetti to shine after emphatic Wimbledon run

Just one of my tennis betting tips landed on Tuesday, which was quite frustrating, but I am back once again to offer my three selections for Wednesday as my hunt for a clean sweep goes on.

I have picked out matches from both the ATP and WTA Tours for today's offering, with some offering some excellent value on the markets. Below you will find my tennis betting tips for Wednesday, July 24.

Lorenzo Musetti to beat Marco Trungelliti 2-0 @ 3/5

After a stunning Wimbledon run which saw him make it to the semi-finals, Italian Lorenzo Musetti is in action for the first time since, taking his talents to the Croatia Open. His first opponent is Argentine Marco Trungelliti and I think that his recent experience in SW19 will have aided his on-court development greatly.

He will be full of confidence heading into this event, especially as the second seed, and what's more is that it is back on his favourite surface - clay. I think this opening encounter should be straightforward for him and the momentum he has gained from Wimbledon will provide his opponent with a very difficult challenge.

Trungelliti has performed well at this tournament so far in qualifiers and the first round of the main draw, but he has now got to face one of the toughest players at the tournament, and I think it will be a step too far. I have Musetti to win this match in straight sets.

Matteo Berrettini to beat Alejandro Tabilo 2-0 @ 13/10

Former Wimbledon finalist Matteo Berrettini is in great form at the moment. The Italian is in round of 16 action at the Austrian Open Kitzbuhel against Alejandro Tabilo on Wednesday, and the 28-year-old has won his last six matches, impressively all in straight sets.

Berrettini headed into this tournament off the back of claiming the Swiss Open title, defeating the likes of Stefanos Tsitsipas and Felix Auger-Aliassime in the process. I tipped him to beat Pavel Kotov in two sets yesterday which landed, but I thought it would have been a more comfortable match for him.

Both sets went to a tie breaker but that in itself would have only strengthened Berrettini's confidence. He is on an incredible run of seeing out matches in two sets and I think it would be foolish to bet against it now when he has gained so much momentum.

I think he can do it again so I am backing him to defeat Tabilo 2-0.

Magda Linette to beat Viktoriya Tomova 2-1 @ 16/5

At the Prague Open, Magda Linette and Viktoriya Tomova go head-to-head in the quarter-finals, with both players having impressed over the last two days. Polish star Linette heads into this clash with a psychological advantage over her opponent, having won their previous three career meetings.

However, those triumphs came on hard courts and this battle is on clay, so Tomova will be thinking she has a shot to get a win on the board against her opponent.

That being said, Linette's game has drastically improved on this surface in 2024. She reached her first WTA final on clay in Rouen, losing out to former US Open champion Sloane Stephens. I think these improvements, as well as her record against Tomova will help see her through to the semi-finals, but I expect this match to go the distance.
