Tennis Betting Tips: Venus to star in US Open Mixed Doubles Tuesday treble

With the Cincinnati Open done and dusted for another year, we can now turn our full attention to the US Open, where the qualifying rounds for the singles have already begun.
Interestingly, there's a reimagined mixed doubles tournament preceding the main event, and the two-day competition features in my Tuesday Tennis Betting Tips, which you can check out below.

Match Betting - Errani, S/Vavassori, S to beat Fritz, T/Rybakina, E @ 4/6
Sara Errani, who has 35 doubles titles, including two mixed doubles Grand Slams (2024 US Open and 2025 French Open), is teaming up again with Andrea Vavassori, with the two Italians out to defend last year's title in Queens.
Errani and Vavassori beat Taylor Townsend and Donald Young 7-6, 7-5 in the 2024 US Open Mixed Doubles Final, and have won 16 of their 20 matches since first teaming up in July last year.
Their first-round opponents on Tuesday, Taylor Fritz and Elena Rybakina, are much less experienced as a duo, only playing together at the Tie Break Tens exhibition tournament in May.
Both Fritz and Rybakina were in singles action in Cincinnati last week, and the American and Kazakhstani will be eyeing deep runs at this year's US Open, so I can't see their full focus being on this doubles event.
Errani and Vavassori are the defending champions, and this should be a straightforward victory for the Italians.

Match Betting - Opelka, R/Williams, V to beat Muchova, K/Rublev, A @ 13/8
Likewise, Karolina Muchova and Andrey Rublev are a newly-formed doubles pair who will be targeting successful singles tournaments. Rublev has only won one of his last seven doubles matches (all men's), while it's just two victories from Muchova's last six (two mixed, four women's).
Randy Opelka and Venus Williams have never teamed up before, either, but are good friends and have practiced together on occasions in the past, so that may be something to lean on here.
Of course, Williams only played her first matches of the calendar year last month, entering the Washington Open in the singles and women's doubles. She won her first contests in both disciplines, though, shocking Peyton Stearns (6-3, 6-4) in the singles and beating Eugenie Bouchard and Clervie Ngounoue (6-3, 6-1) in the doubles alongside Hailey Baptiste.
The 45-year-old has won 22 doubles titles, including 14 majors and three Olympic gold medals, but has spoken about her desire to finally reach the final of a mixed doubles event.
With the big-serving Opelka next to her on Tuesday, she stands a solid shot of at least making the quarter-finals.

Match Betting - Alcaraz, C/Raducanu, E to beat Draper, J/Pegula, J @ 11/8
Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu are probably the most popular mixed doubles duo, with the Spaniard and Brit both amassing hardcore followings in the singles.
This will be a new experience for them, though, so it's probably handy that their opponents, Jack Draper and Jessica Pegula, are also a first-time pair.
Pegula has recent experience of doubles, winning her first-round match at the Cincinnati Open earlier this month with Baptiste before bowing out in the second round of the women's event, but her partner, Draper, hasnt played a match at any level since July 3, when he suffered a surprise defeat to Marin Cilic (4-6, 3-6, 6-1, 4-6) in the second round of Wimbledon.
The 23-year-old Brit has been recovering from an arm injury, which forced him to withdraw from tournaments in Toronto and Cincinnati.
We'll have to wait and see how sharply he regains his fitness and form, but given the lack of practice, it may be worth backing against him on Tuesday.
Alcaraz was in action on Monday in the Cincinnati Open Final, but after taking the first five games, his opponent, Jannik Sinner, retired, citing illness. The Spaniard, then, shouldn't be as tired as one might have originally expected, so he can give the doubles event a real good go with Raducanu, who has been in terrific singles form this year.
Pegula, meanwhile, has lost four of her last six matches, and three of her last four in doubles.
