Tuesday’s Tennis Betting Tips: Raducanu braced for another early exit

The WTA action from the Far East continues on Tuesday with the WTA Korea Open from Seoul, and the Thailand Open from Hua Hin.
Emma Raducanu is the big name in action from a British perspective but the 21-year-old could struggle when she faces capable American Peyton Stearns for a place in round two. Raducanu's match features in our Tuesday tips, which also includes contests involving Amanda Anisimova and Dayana Yastremska.
Tennis Betting Tips, Tuesday September 17
Match Betting - Peyton Stearns to beat Emma Raducanu @ 13/8
Emma Raducanu's summer has not been without promise but the Briton continues to flatter to deceive at times and she admitted to feeling undercooked when crashing out of the US Open at the first-round stage.
Raducanu has bumped into some talented performers recently but she was expected to beat Sofia Kenin in New York last month - at least according to the odds - and she could struggle to justify favouritism against another American in Peyton Stearns.
These two met in Washington in July and Raducanu prevailed in straight sets, which goes some way to explaining her price for this rematch.
However, Stearns went on to reach the quarter-finals in Toronto and Cleveland before knocking Daria Kasatkina out of the US Open, so her subsequent exploits have eclipsed those of her Korea Open opponent.
Match Betting - Amanda Anisimova to beat Yulia Putintseva @ 10/11
Amanda Anisimova was unfortunate to draw Qinwen Zheng in the opening round of the US Open, losing out to the Olympic champion in three sets, but her performance in reaching the final of Toronto points to a big autumn for the American.
Anisimova has struggled with fitness and mental health in recent seasons but she has bundles of potential - as demonstrated with her Canada run - and she can progress in Korea at the expense of Yulia Putintseva.
The Kazakhstani is a solid performer who has posted some big wins this season, with victories coming over Iga Swiatek at Wimbledon and Coco Gauff in Cincinnati.
There is nothing to split them in the betting but Anisimova should have the edge in Seoul if she's close to the form she showed in Toronto.
Set Betting - Dayana Yastremska to win 2-0 against Mai Hontama @ 19/20
It's been a strange season for Dayana Yastremska, who has done little bar reaching the Australian Open semi-finals, but she should have far too much for Mai Hontama in Hua Hin.
Yastremska had an unsuccessful North American hard-court season , losing all three matches, although she did bump into some tricky opponents and will find Hontama a much easier proposition.
The Japanese has won just three WTA Tour-level main-draw matches in 2024, and she could suffer a first-round straight-sets defeat against an opponent who is capable of top-class tennis.
