Match Betting - Alexei Popyrin to beat Karen Khachanov @ 5/4

Alexei Popyrin has already won a Masters 1000 title this season and the improving Australian could defy the odds again when he takes on in-form Karen Khachanov for a place in the quarter-finals.

Popyrin claimed the Canadian Open in August and he backed up that performance in Paris on Wednesday as he edged out Daniil Medvedev in a tight three-set contest, following up a first-round win over Matteo Berrettini.

The world no.24 is full of confidence, although the same can be said for Khachanov, who won a title at the Almaty Open a fortnight ago then followed up with a run to the final of the Vienna Open.

However, those exertions will surely start to catch up with the Russian, who dug deep to see off both Christopher O'Connell and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in three sets in Paris.

Khachanov leads 3-1 in head-to-head meetings but Popyrin beat him in Tokyo a year ago and is a better player now.

Match Betting - Francisco Cerundolo to beat Stefanos Tsitsipas @ 13/8

More upset potential comes in the form of Francisco Cerundolo, who looks capable of downing Stefanos Tsitsipas.

These two have clashed recently - as recently as nine days ago in fact - when Tsitsipas prevailed 7-4 in a third-set tiebreak in Basel, and while the Greek triumphed on that occasion, the result serves to illustrate that there is precious little between them.

Cerundolo has posted straight-sets wins over Quentin Halys and Andrey Rublev in his two Paris matches, and while Tsitsipas has also looked good in his two outings, he is on the short side against the dangerous Argentinian.

Match Betting - Varvara Lepchenko to beat Polina Kudermetova @ 6/5

Veteran American Varvara Lepchenko has posted a number of solid results in recent weeks and she appears to have every chance up against Polina Kudermetova.

Lepchenko made the quarter-finals of a Tampico Challenger event last week, beating Jule Niemeier and Jil Teichmann, then she impressed in a 6-2 6-2 rout of Tamara Zidansek in the opening round of the Merida Open.

Kudermetova remains a hit-and-miss performer and she was crushed 6-1 6-3 by Lepchenko in their only previous meeting, which also came in Mexico, a year ago.
