Tennis Betting Tips: Paul should be braced for a battle

The final Masters 1000 tournament of the 2024 season begins at the Bercy Arena, Paris, on Monday as the ATP World Tour stars line up to contest the Paris Masters.
The top eight seeds have received a first-round bye in the French capital, but there are some big names in action on day one including Stefanos Tsitsipas, who faces Roberto Carballes Baena, while US ace Tommy Paul pits his wits against home hopeful Adrian Mannarino.
Paul's clash with Mannarino features in Monday's tennis betting tips while there is also action from Merida, Mexico, which is hosting a WTA 250-level event.
Tennis Betting Tips
Total Games - Over 20.5 Games in Adrian Mannarino vs Tommy Paul @ 10/11
World No.12 Tommy Paul is a hot favourite for his Paris Masters first-round contest against Adrian Mannarino, but there are reasons to believe the French veteran can keep the scoreline respectable in his homeland.
While Paul appears to be at the peak of his powers having won his fourth ATP title in Stockholm earlier this month, he also lost to Brandon Nakashima in Vienna a week ago so he's far from infallible.
At 36, Mannarino is on an obvious decline but he has shown fight despite losing five of his last seven matches, pushing Daniil Medvedev to a first-set tiebreak in Beijing last month and losing 7-5 in the third to Stan Wawrinka in Basel last week.
Paul should prevail but Mannarino, with the backing of a home crowd, can force this contest over the 20.5-game line.

Match Betting - Nuno Borges to beat Alejandro Tabilo @ 11/8
Both Nuno Borges and Alejandro Tabilo have enjoyed fine seasons and there is little to choose between them in their Bercy opener, where underdog Borges could prove the value pick.
The Portuguese demonstrated his hard-court ability by reaching the last 16 of the US Open, then he took a few weeks off to recover from injury before returning to action in Basel last week.
Borges lost in straight sets to world No.7 Andrey Rublev on his reappearance, but he should improve for that outing and can see off Tabilo, who has lost 11 of his last 14 matches.

Match Betting - Alycia Parks to beat Alina Korneeva @ 11/8
The second edition of the Merida Open begins at Yucatan Country Club this evening and the best bet could be Alycia Parks, who faces off against prodigious 17-year-old Alina Korneeva.
While Korneeva is brimming with potential, she looks a touch overrated at the odds, having been beaten as a favourite in her last two matches, both by players who have achieved less than Parks on the WTA Tour.
The American has been inconsistent lately, but it's only three months since she won a 125 Series title in Warsaw and, as a former top-40 player, she looks like a decent bet against her inexperienced rival.
