Tennis Betting Tips: Crunch time in Cincinnati

A new week of tennis action starts on Monday, and there's two finals that feature in today's picks. Jannik Sinner takes on home favourite Frances Tiafoe at ATP Cincinnati, while two titans of the WTA Tour face off in Aryna Sabalenka and Jessica Pegula.
I have picked out a market from both matches, as well as a tip from ATP Winston-Salem Open to make up my tennis betting tips for Monday, August 19.
Tennis Betting Tips - Monday, August 19
Set Betting - Jannik Sinner to beat Frances Tiafoe 2-1 @ 13/5
We start with the ATP Cincinnati final between Jannik Sinner and Frances Tiafoe.
Sinner has only lost five times in 2024, and is currently ranked world number one, so he could very easily roll past the world number 20 here – who has 18 losses to his name this season.
However, Tiafoe has shown time and time again that he's big-game player, and the crowd at Cincinnati have rallied behind him this week. The American seems to be swinging freely at the minute and I think he'll make a run at some point in this match, especially with the crowd on his side.
Will he have enough in the tank to see off the Italian? I'm not so sure - Sinner's quality should eventually shine through, but I don't this will be an walkover for the world number one.
Set Betting - Aryna Sabalenka to beat Jessica Pegula 2-0 @ 19/20
Next, we stay in Cincinnati but for the WTA final between Aryna Sabalenka and Jessica Pegula.
Sabalenka demolished world number one Iga Swiatek in the semi-finals, dropping just six games, while Pegula is one match away from becoming the first woman in 50 years to win the Canada Open and Cincinnati Masters back-to-back. Do match-ups get much better than this?
While she didn’t win either Washington or Toronto, Sabalenka managed to get herself in great shape heading into Cincinnati, after missing Wimbledon with a rotator cuff injury, and she's yet to drop a set this week.
Pegula defeated Sabalenka in their two previous hard court meetings, but the Belarusian holds the head-to-head advantage at 4-2, and has looked brilliant so far this tournament.
I'm taking Sabalenka in straight sets here.
Set Betting - Aleksandar Vukic to beat Adrian Mannarino 2-1 @ 11/4
Finally, we head to the ATP Winston-Salem Open for the match between Aleksandar Vukic and Adrian Mannarino.
Mannarino has had an easy time against Vukic in their two previous meetings, but he's at 9-24 for the season, which makes this his worst ATP Tour performance in over a decade of professional tennis.
Vukic scraped past Dan Evans to make it to the round of 32 at ATP Winston-Salem Open, but it's hard to see the Australian not feeling confident heading into this encounter given the awful form his opponent is in, despite Mannarino's advantage in the head-to-read record (4-2).
