Alejandro Davidovich Fokina to beat Valentin Vacherot 2-0 @ 11/8

Spain's Alejandro Davidovich Fokina made a losing start to 2026 when crashing 2-0 to Brandon Nakashima in Brisbane, but responded on Wednesday by beating Rinky Hijikata by the same scoreline.

He continues his ATP Adelaide campaign against Valentin Vacherot, who beat Miomir Kecmanovic before receiving a walkover due to Thanasi Kokkinakis's withdrawal.

Vacherot was another who suffered an early exit in Brisbane, losing 2-0 to Sebastian Korda.

The Monagesque upset Andrey Rublev 2-1 in an exhibition match on December 28, but another surprise looks unlikely.

Davidovich Fokina, who won 3-1 when the pair met at the 2024 French Open, can triumph with something to spare again.

Emma Navarro to beat Diana Shnaider @ 1/1

A real duel could take place at the WTA Adelaide when Emma Navarro faces Diana Shnaider. Ranked 15th and 23rd in the world, their career head-to-head is tied at 2-2.

Thursday's match marks the first time they have met on a hard court, having previously faced off three times on grass and once on clay.

After losing her opener in Auckland, Navarro has looked more focused in Adelaide, defeating Emerson Jones and Yulia Putintseva in straight sets.

Shnaider whitewashed Leylah Fernandez in the first round before ousting Katerina Siniakova 6-1, 2-6, 7-5, but for the morale boost that result will have provided, it may have sapped her energy.

The last three meetings between these players have gone to three sets, and Navarro, a quarter-finalist at last year's Australian Open, is taken to claim a 2-1 victory.

Emma Raducanu to beat Taylah Preston 2-0 @ 4/5

Raducanu recorded her first win of the year by beating Camila Osorio 2-0 in her WTA Hobart opener, and the top seed can continue the winning thread against Taylah Preston.

Raducanu's second-round opponent, Magdalena Frech, had to withdraw, meaning the Brit avoided having to play twice in a day after that match against Osorio was paused overnight due to the weather.

Australian wildcard Preston defeated Jessica Bouzas Maneiro 6-4, 7-6 before shining in a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Rebecca Sramkova, but the Brit can dominate Thursday's quarter-final clash.

Raducanu displayed real grit in her victory against Osorio, winning the first set 6-3 before coming from 4-2 down to win the second in a tie-break.

The 23-year-old is 173 places higher than Preston in the world rankings and can claim another 2-0 victory.
