Saracens vs Northampton Saints Odds
Saracens are 21/20 to pick up the win on home soil, with the draw priced at 16/1 and Northampton the 5/6 favourites.
Saints can be backed at 6/5 at -4.5 on the handicap and Sarries are available at 4/5 when +1.5 on the handicap.
Team News
Saracens have made four changes from the side which was thumped by Bath, with Rhys Carre coming in at prop in place of Eroni Mawi and captain Maro Itoje back in the second row, replacing Nick Isiekwe.
Andy Onyeama-Christie takes the spot of Juan Martín González in the back row and Charlie Bracken starts at scrum-half, with Ivan Van Zyl dropping to the replacements.
Northampton welcome back six internationals to their matchday squad, with Henry Pollock, Fin Smith and Tommy Freeman all starting while Danilo Fischetti, Trevor Davison and Fraser Dingwall are on the bench.
There are two changes in the backs, with Freeman replacing James Pater on the wing and Smith in at fly-half in place of Anthony Belleau.
In the forwards, Robbie Smith loses his spot at hooker to Curtis Langdon, Josh Kemeny is in at blindside flanker, and Pollock starts at No.8 in place of Callum Chick. Tom Lockett shifts to the second row, with Chunya Munga dropping to the replacements.
Northampton Saints to win @ 5/6
Saracens head into this latest instalment of The Showdown on a four-game losing run, the most recent of those defeats a 62-15 thrashing by Bath.
Sarries failed to score in the second half of that drubbing and confidence is low heading into this clash against the Gallagher Prem leaders.
Northampton were not at their best when edging past Newcastle Red Bulls 28-27 last weekend, but they still managed to churn out a victory and they are a much stronger unit for this clash with several first-team stars returning.
The Saints have won seven of their last eight assignments, the only blemish during that period a Prem Rugby Cup semi-final loss to Exeter Chiefs, and they have had the bragging rights over Saracens in recent years.
Northampton have already beaten Sarries twice this season, extending their winning run against the English giants to four matches, and another success is expected for Phil Dowson's side.
