Gloucester vs Sale Odds

Gloucester are 20/21 for the win on Friday night, while Sale are 20/21 to go back to Greater Manchester with the victory. A draw at Kingsholm is currently available at 14/1.

Team News

For Gloucester, Val Rapava Ruskin, Seb Blake and Afo Fasogbon start in the front row, with locks Arthur Clark and Matias Alemanno in behind.

Freddie Thomas, Jame Venter and Will Trenholm complete the pack, while Tomos Williams and Charlie Atkinson combine in the half-backs.

Seb Atkinson and Max Llewellyn form a strong centre pairing, while the hosts go with Ben Loader, Will Joseph and George Barton in the back three.

As for the Sharks, the visitors have gone for Ralph McEachran, Alfie Longstaff and Asher Opoku-Fordjour in the front row, while second-rowers Hyron Andrews and Ben Bamber are in the engine room.

Ernst van Rhyn, Jacques Vermeulen and Sam Dugdale make up the back row, with Gus Warr and George Ford in the half-backs.

Rekeiti Ma’asi-White and Marius Louw start in the centres, while Tom O’Flaherty, Tom Roebuck and Joe Carpenter form the back three for the Sharks.

Gloucester -2 handicap @ 21/20

It has been a tough season for both these sides, with Gloucester picking up three wins in 14 games, while Sale have only gone one better.

While the likes of Northampton Saints and Bath are streets ahead, Gloucester and Sale have to figure out how they can narrow the gap on the big hitters in the competition.

Those are discussions for another day and first, these teams will be focusing on Friday night’s showdown under the lights at Kingsholm.

Gloucester go into this one on the back of an impressive 34-31 win at home against West Country rival Exeter Chiefs.

Sale picked up a rare away win over strugglers Harlequins in their last outing, winning 52-33 in a high-scoring shootout at The Stoop.

That win stopped an eight-game losing streak for the Sharks away from home in the Prem and it is hard to see them back it up with a victory over Gloucester at Kingsholm on Friday.

The Cherry & Whites have won all of their last three home games against Sale and the West Country outfit look to be good value to win and cover the handicap.

Expect Williams and Charlie Atkinson to pull the strings in the half-backs, while Seb Atkinson and Llewellyn can punch holes through this porous Sharks’ defence.
