Bath vs Munster Prediction: Munster unlikely to handle Bath time

Gallagher Prem champions Bath kick-start their European Rugby Champions Cup campaign on Saturday night (20:00 GMT, Premier Sports 1) when they host Munster in a heavyweight showdown at The Recreation Ground.
Below are my Bath vs Munster predictions, as well as all the essential team news and match odds for the clash in the West Country.
At home, Bath are the 1/7 favourites for the win, while Munster are currently 9/2 to head back across the Irish Sea with the victory.
A draw in the West Country is currently 25/1, while Munster to be leading at the half-time whistle is available at 12/5.
Team News
Bath go with Beno Obano, Tom Dunn and Thomas du Toit in the front row, while Quinn Roux and Charlie Ewels start as the locks.
Ted Hill, Guy Pepper and Miles Reid start in the back row, while Ben Spencer and Finn Russell combine once again in the half-backs.
Cameron Redpath and Max Ojomoh pair up in the centres, with Henry Arundell, Joe Cokanasiga and Tom de Glanville in the back three.
As for the visitors, Munster have a front row of Michael Milne, Diarmuid Barron and John Ryan, with locks Jean Kleyn and Tom Ahern in behind.
Tadhg Beirne will skipper the side in a back row that includes John Hodnett and Gavin Coombes.
Craig Casey and JJ Hanrahan start in the half-backs, while Dan Kelly and Tom Farrell pair up in the centres.
Thaakir Abrahams, Diarmuid Kilgallen and Shane Daly make up the back three for Munster.
Bath -16 handicap @ 11/10
Missing Ireland fly-half Jack Crowley due to injury is a major blow for Munster ahead of their trip to Bath.
Crowley’s big-game experience would be a big asset, while the game has also been robbed of a head-to-head between the Ireland fly-half and his Scotland counterpart Russell ahead of their meeting at the 2027 Rugby World Cup.
Bath are without England centre Ollie Lawrence, but apart from him, they have pretty much a full-strength backline to take on Munster this weekend.
Having earned a big win over Saracens at StoneX Stadium last weekend, Bath will head into this game full of confidence.
Munster squandered a lead to lose at home to the Stormers last time out in the United Rugby Championship, and their confidence might have taken a knock after that loss to the Cape Town outfit at Thomond Park.
Winning 17 of their last 18 home games in all competitions, Bath have a tremendous record at The Rec, and they should have the quality to overcome a Munster side who will miss Crowley pulling the strings in the No. 10 jersey.
If Bath get their rhythm going in attack, they have the weapons to hurt Munster and the hosts to cover the -16 handicap gets the thumbs up in this one.
