Leeds Rhinos vs Warrington Wolves Prediction: Tanginoa try tip is tempting in anniversary fixture

We may just have saved the best until last in Round 6 of the Betfred Super League weekend, as Leeds Rhinos bid to end the 100% start of Warrington Wolves at AMT Headingley in the summer game's 30th anniversary fixture (17:30 BST, Sky Sports Main Event).
The Wolves have been quietly going about their business in 2026 while Leeds have struggled since returning from their blockbusting performance which saw them destroy champions Hull KR in Las Vegas. Here are my Leeds Rhinos vs Warrington Wolves predictions, plus the latest team news and Betfred's match odds.

Leeds Rhinos vs Warrington Wolves Odds
Team News
Leeds boss Brad Arthur is not known for making knee-jerk reactions, and there is just one change to the Rhinos squad after last week's surprise defeat at Hull FC.
Young forward Presley Cassell has returned from a short-term loan, and he is straight back into the squad in place of fellow youngster Ben Littlewood.
The team selection itself may be slightly more interesting, with veteran winger Ryan Hall left out last week in favour of utility Chris Hankinson. Both players are again in the 21-man squad, as is Jack Bird, who made his Leeds debut off the bench at the MKM Stadium.
Warrington chalked off another win last week to make it four from four, showing some fine early-season form and having played a game fewer than their rivals. Better still for boss Sam Burgess is that the comfortable victory against Castleford came with no new injuries, so the Wolves have an unchanged squad.
That means no place again for half-back Marc Sneyd, with youngster Ewan Smith having been given the nod and impressing against the Tigers, while former Rhino James Bentley misses out again.
England winger Matty Ashton made his long-awaited return from an ACL injury last weekend and was back with a bang, marking his comeback with three of the Wolves' 12 tries. Incredibly, he was still outshone by four-try forward Kelepi Tanginoa.
Handicap 3-way: Warrington +8 @ 10/11
Warrington look ominous. While Wigan grab the headlines at the top of the table with five wins from five, the Wolves have been quietly doing their thing too.
Admittedly, the fixture list so far has been kind - three home games out of four bringing wins over St Helens, Castleford and Wakefield, while the only road trip has been to newly-promoted York and brought a high-scoring 38-30 win.
The Rhinos, meanwhile, produced their brilliant best to destroy champions Hull KR in Las Vegas but have looked out of sorts since, crashing out of the Betfred Challenge Cup at Wakefield and then letting a half-time lead slip to lose last week at Hull.
So the form is very much with the Wolves here. But this just feels like a game that Leeds could win, an injection to kick-start their season again post-Vegas.
The half-back battle looks absolutely key, where the experience of Brodie Croft and Jake Connor goes up against England captain George Williams and youngster Ewan Irwin. I feel that if Leeds can win this mini-contest it could be their day. But that itself feels like a big if.
You've got to believe the Rhinos are due a performance just as much as Warrington might be due a setback. But there is no guarantee that it will happen this week.
Winning can very quickly become a habit, and having scored 72 points only last weekend it is very tough to predict Warrington losing this week. The handicap gives the Wolves an eight-point start and that to me feels like the play in what should be an absolute cracker.

Kelepi Tanginoa Anytime Tryscorer @ 3/1
We are offering Super League Double Delight on this fixture, so if your player scores the first try and then goes on to score again we will double your First Tryscorer price.
If you fancy a good night for Leeds then I would be looking at their powerhouse winger Maika Sivo in the tryscorer market, along with centres Ash Handley and Harry Newman. Exciting full-back Lachie Miller was a regular returner for us last season but has not yet got going this year - he tends to do so when the weather improves!
For the Wolves, there is no real need to look further than Ashton, who returned from a lengthy injury lay-off with a hat-trick last week and could have had more.
But let's go for a left-field selection in forward Kelepi Tanginoa. He told me last week he couldn't understand why he was given the Man of the Match award over Ashton. The reason was that he scored four tries for the first time in his life.
It was incredible really, as the ball just kept finding his line runs at the perfect moment. Only Warrington will know if that was something they have been working on or was a deliberate line of attack against Cas, but having seen it first hand I feel compelled to jump on Tanginoa this week.
