Team News

KR have concerns over key man Jez Litten but the England international has been included in the initial 21-man squad and will be given every chance to make the game.

Centre Oliver Gildart sits out this one through concussion protocols so his place in the squad is taken by forward Sauaso Sue who returns from a one-match suspension.

Leigh have been wrapping their starting centres in cotton wool but after being included in the squad again this is surely the week to reintroduce Umyla Hanley and Tesi Niu. If both start then the Leopards team is a completely different beast.

Talisman winger Josh Charnley surged to the top of the all-time Super League tryscorers charts with his treble at Bradford last week but then limped off injured.

Playmaker Lachlam Lam had an issue too, but both players are named in the squad, boosting hopes that they are fine to continue.

Jack Hughes does miss out through suspension, so head coach Adrian Lam names just a 20-man squad. That would appear good news therefore for the fitness of Charnley, Lam, Niu and Hanley -  Leigh would not be able to field a team if they were not ready.

Hull KR vs Leigh Leopards Odds

Hull KR are 3/10 favourites, implying a 76.9% probability of success, with Leigh Leopards 11/4, or a 26.7% chance, and the draw offered at 16/1.

Handicap 3-Way: Hull KR -10 @ EVS

We predicted a really good night for KR last weekend and the Robins did indeed better the 24-point handicap with a 38-6 win over York. Leigh provide a much sterner test this week with the handicap at 10 points, but having run in four first-half tries last week you sense Rovers are working hard at a big start.

The Leopards' fortunes have been carried by Charnley recently, but his record-breaking heroics should at least now be supplemented by some tries elsewhere given the return of both Hanley and Niu. Now they just need to stay fit.

Leigh can do some damage in this game and it could well be fiery. But if Rovers can hit the heights of which they are capable then they can tick off another win and cover the handicap.

Rovers have won their last five home games against Leigh and I am siding with them to make it a sweet six here. The Leopards have actually found points pretty hard to come by at Craven Park, losing to nil in each of their last two visits. They will need to find a spark to buck that trend but I feel that KR will have enough to weather any Leopards storm.

Rhyse Martin Anytime Tryscorer @ 11/4

Last week's value selection was a coin toss between back row forwards Rhyse Martin (9/4) and Jai Whitbread (4/1) in the anytime market. I probably got a little greedy in going against my gut and backing Whitbread. He was ultimately left out of the side and of course Martin got his try that would have been a very nice return indeed

Rovers' top strike threats are again the usual suspects this week and a few of them are on milestones.

Winger Tom Davies (10/11) will play in his 200th Super League game, playmaker Mikey Lewis (10/11) will make his 150th Hull KR appearance and Rhyse Martin (11/4) his 150th Super League appearance.

There are a few milestones for Leigh too, with Robbie Mulhern (12/1) set to play his 200th Super League game, Lachlan Lam (11/2) set for his 100th Super League appearance and Tesi Niu (11/4) his 100th career appearance.

Charnley - if fit - is of course the man. The record breaker is Evens to grab another in this one, but last week's hobble and the short-priced odds aren't enough to tempt me in.

Having missed out on Martin's 9/4 touchdown I'm going to arrive probably a little late to the party, but he is my second selection at 11/4.
