Storm vs Titans Prediction: Grant the Great to make Gold Coast pay in 5/2 pick

The mini-revival of the Melbourne Storm was halted temporarily by Manly in Round 17, now they face the Gold Coast Titans on Sunday in the NRL Premiership at AAMI Park (6:15pm local, 9:15am BST, Watch NRL).
Can Craig Bellamy’s side regain that upward momentum to stay in the hunt for Finals footy? My Storm vs Titans are below with full team news and Betfred’s match odds.

The Storm are well backed for the win, with Betfred offering 1/3 about a Melbourne success. It’s 12/5 for the Titans to record just a fifth triumph of the campaign, while the draw in 80 minutes is a 16/1 shot.
Melbourne’s Will Warbrick is the favourite to register the first try of the match at 5/1.
Team News
Bellamy has three big names returning after injuries as Nick Meaney, Jack Howarth and Jahrome Hughes all come back into the reckoning after leg muscle injuries.
Manaia Waitere is back after an ankle issue as well, so there’s lots of shuffling to be done.
Moses Leo, Siulagi Tuimalatu-Brown and Ativalu Lisati miss out having started against Manly, while Joe Chan and Tyran Wishart drop to the bench.
Alec MacDonald steps up from the bench to replace Lisatu in the second row.
Harry Grant, Cameron Munster and Trent Loiero have been included in the initial lineups four days on from Origin duty.
Not so many changes for Josh Hannay’s troops, with Dean Ieremaia coming in on the wing against his former club for what would be his first NRL game in over two years.
That would see Jaylan De Groot drop to the bench, while Cooper Bai is included among the interchange options after observing concussion protocols.
Queensland pair Jojo Fifita and Tino Fa’asuamaleaui are expected to start.
Handicap 3-way: Storm -10 @ 10/11
Melbourne ought to have way too much for the Titans, especially on home turf.
This has been yet another underwhelming season for Gold Coast, whereas the Storm could still make something of 2026 despite their horrific run of seven straight losses between March and May.
With Warbrick, Sua Fa’alogo, Moses Leo, Grant and Munster, they just have so much firepower, and their pack has started to play ball in recent weeks too.
The -10 is on the lighter side of the expectation for me, but there’s always the chance of an Origin hangover being felt in these mid-season rounds so this feels like a sensible pick rather than a speculative one.

Harry Grant Anytime Tryscorer @ 5/2
The Kangaroos hooker was in the middle of a bit of a media storm at the beginning of the week after Gus Gould’s comments about him attempting to influence referees.
But there’s no doubting the Melbourne rake will do all his answering on the field, and he might even get over the line in a Storm win to prove his point.
He has six tries to his name already this term, and he’s so dangerous both from dummy-half and in open field that he has to be considered a huge scoring threat.
