Team News
Jack Wighton is missing for the Rabbitohs due to a calf problem, so Dean Hawkins will replace him at halfback.
Richie Kennar is handed a start on the wing by interim coach Ben Hornby, with Fletcher Myers the man to drop out.
The Roosters will have Joseph Suaalii back after injury and he will take his place in the centres, while Junior Pauga will replace the rested Daniel Tupou.
Sandon Smith and Luke Keary will be the half-backs, while Connor Watson will wear the number nine jersey, with several players looking to stake their claim for a role in the play-offs.
The home side are 15th in the NRL standings and are 16/5 to end a disappointing season with a victory.
The Roosters, who have won 15 of their 23 games, are the 1/4 favourites while the draw can be backed at 22/1.
Handicap – Roosters -20 (Price Boost) @ 2/1
The Roosters know they are guaranteed a place in the play-offs and make the short journey across the city looking to end the regular season on a high.
Although their place in the top eight is secured, coach Trent Robinson will want them to finish as high in the table as possible.
They sit third, but could finish anywhere between second and sixth and that will have a big impact on their opponents in the Final Eight.
In stark contrast, the Rabbitohs have lost their last five matches and are mired in 15th, which is frustrating for a team who reached the Grand Final in 2021.
These sides met at the Allianz Stadium in Round 3 when the Roosters ran out comfortable winners, with a 48-6 success over their city rivals.
It’s also worth noting that Robinson’s men won this fixture last season as well, with a 26-12 success over the Rabbitohs, who were battling for a play-off spot.

Roosters to win both halves @ 21/20
With plenty still at stake for the visitors, points look to be on the agenda on Friday and most of those seem likely to be scored by the Roosters.
The Chooks have averaged 34.4 points over their last five matches, including a 22-48 success in their last away game at the Gold Coast Titans in Round 25.
They scored five first-half tries in that game, to take a 26-10 lead at the break, and are expected to start quickly again against the Rabbitohs.
The hosts lost by 22 points at the Panthers last week and have lost by 20 and 12 points in their last two home games.
