Dragons vs Warriors Prediction: Warriors to add to Dragons’ woes

New Zealand Warriors will be hoping to add to St. George Illawarra Dragons' troubles at the foot of the NRL standings on Saturday morning (8:30am BST, Sky Sports Action) when they face off at St George Venues Jubilee Stadium.

Alex Jack provides his Dragons vs Warriors predictions, complete with the essential team news and match odds for the clash in the Kogarah suburb of Southern Sydney.

St. George Illawarra Dragons are the 7/2 underdogs for Saturday’s clash, while the New Zealand Warriors are 2/9 favourites to make the trip back across The Tasman with the victory.

A draw is available at 18/1, while over 51.5 total points in the game is currently 5/6.

Team News

Starting with the Dragons, they have gone with Clinton Gutherson, Setu Tu, Valentine Holmes, Hayden Buchanan, Christian Tuipulotu, Daniel Atkinson and Kyle Flanagan in the backline.

Loko Jnr Pasifiki Tonga, Damien Cook, Toby Couchman, Dylan Egan, Hamish Stewart and Ryan Couchman make up the back for the hosts.

As for the Warriors, the visitors have opted for a backline of Taine Tuaupiki, Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, Ali Leiataua, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Alofiana Khan-Pereira, Chanel Harris-Tavita and Te Maire Martin.

The Kiwis outfit have opted for a pack consisting of James Fisher-Harris, Wayde Egan, Jackson Ford, Leka Halasima, Jacob Laban and Erin Clark.

Losing all of their opening 10 games of the 2026 NRL season, it has been a nightmare start for the Dragons.

A lack of cutting edge in attack has been a major concern, with the Dragons scoring an average of just 13 points per game so far this season.

Taking on a Warriors side who are flying high in second place in the standings, the Dragons' wait for that maiden win of the campaign looks set to continue beyond this weekend.

Scoring 320 points in their opening 10 games of the season, the Warriors have no issues scoring tries and the visitors are backed to not only win at St George Venues Jubilee Stadium, but overcome the -14 handicap to boot.

Dallin Watene-Zelzniak to score the first try @ 11/2

One of the best finishers in the NRL,  Watene-Zelezniak is tipped up to bag the opening try on Saturday at attractive odds.

The Warriors winger is in a rich vein of form, having scored 10 tries in his last six games.

The Warriors will be eager to make a fast start on Saturday to prevent the Dragons getting a foothold in the match and the in-form Watene-Zelezniak is good value at 11/2 to score the first try of the contest in Kogarah.
