Dolphins vs Bulldogs Prediction: Canterbury’s Brisbane nightmare to continue

The Dolphins snapped a four-game losing run to beat Melbourne Storm 28-10 last Friday and they stay on home turf when the Bulldogs pitch up for Thursday's Round 10 opener in the NRL (10:50 BST, Watch NRL).
Below are my Dolphins vs Bulldogs predictions, alongside team news and match odds.
The visitors head to Brisbane aiming to end their three-game losing streak, most recently going down 28-12 at home to North Queensland Cowboys.
That said, they have a miserable record at Suncorp Stadium, winning only twice on their last 17 visits.
These sides have identical records from their eight games in 2026, each sitting on eight points with three wins and five defeats.
Canterbury finished third on last year's NRL ladder but have endured a miserable run of form.
Kristian Woolf's hosts have every chance of grabbing a second straight win and condemning the Bulldogs to another Brisbane bashing.
The Dolphins are 8/15 to record another victory, with Canterbury 17/10 and the tie 14/1.
The 3-way handicap mark is set at eight points, with the Dolphins -8 available at 11/10.
Team News
The Dolphins have Jeremy Marshall-King available for the first time this season after an MCL injury and he is named as their 19th man.
Kodi Nikorima is also available after a two-week ban.
For the Bulldogs, five-eighth Matt Burton is set to play his 100th game since joining in 2022.
Alekolasimi Jones keeps his place in the number 14 jersey after impressing on his debut against the Cowboys.
Dolphins -12 @ 13/8
The Dolphins were excellent in their 18-point win over Melbourne, growing in confidence on both sides of the ball as the game went on.
They are expected to take that belief into Thursday's game against the Bulldogs, who are really struggling and have conceded 98 points in their last three outings.
This is their fourth meeting since the Queenslanders joined the NRL in 2023 and the first time the teams have met in Brisbane.
Canterbury won the first two head-to-heads 23-22 in 2023 and 30-10 in 2024, before the Dolphins got their revenge last year, triumphing 44-8.
The Bulldogs have shipped 28 points or more in their three recent defeats, losing by margins of 18, 20 and 16 points.
With a handicap mark of just eight, it could be worth pushing further for some value on a comfortable Dolphins' home win.
The hosts have real strike weapons, with centre Jack Bostock scoring eight tries in his last five NRL games.
The 22-year-old is starting to put a run together and scored from the left wing when these teams met in 2025.
A try-scoring double with teammate Jamayne Isaako may appeal, considering Isaako has touched down in all three previous meetings between these teams.
The signs are good for the Dolphins and taking into account both teams' results, and Woolf's side winning 44-8 in 2025, a victory by two converted scores has to be considered.
