In-form Canterbury Bulldogs should be brimming with confidence when they welcome rivals the Manly Sea Eagles to Accor Stadium on Friday morning (09:00 kick-off). Currently on a five-game winning streak, no other team in the NRL can boast the form of the Bulldogs over their last five outings.

With an impressive record at Accor Stadium this season, the Bulldogs look capable of getting one over on their rivals the Sea Eagles, who have had a strong record in this fixture in recent years. Read on for my Bulldogs vs Eagles predictions.

Bulldogs vs Eagles Betting Tips

  • Canterbury Bulldogs -4 handicap @ 20/21
  • Jacob Kiraz anytime tryscorer @ 5/4

Bulldogs vs Eagles Odds

Canterbury are the 4/7 favourites to claim the points and bragging rights on Friday morning, while Manly are 6/4 to leave Accor Stadium in Sydney with the win.

A draw is available at 20/1, while over 46.5 total points in the game is currently 5/6.

Team News

If the Bulldogs are to win they will have to do it without skipper Stephen Crichton who has been suspended for one match for his high shot on New Zealand Warriors star Roger Tuivasa-Sheck last time out.

Jeral Skelton has been brought in on the wing, meaning Jacob Kiraz moves into the centres.

Kurt Mann has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a fractured clavicle, which means Jaeman Salmon gets the nod at lock.

Josh Curran has recovered from a shoulder injury and earns a spot on the Bulldogs’ bench.

Rugby League Odds

As for the Sea Eagles, Tommy Talau has returned from a pectoral injury to play in the centres, with Tolu Koula dropping down to the bench.

Corey Waddell is serving a two-game suspension for a high tackle so misses this grudge match.

Canterbury Bulldogs -4 handicap @ 20/21

While the Bulldogs have won just one of their last nine encounters with the Sea Eagles, this is a very different Canterbury side we are witnessing this season.

Currently on a five-match winning streak in the NRL, the Bulldogs have become a real force, especially on home soil.

Winning all of their last seven games at Accor Stadium, Canterbury have made their ground a fortress and are capable of winning on Friday and morning and falling on the right side of the -4 handicap in the process.

Jacob Kiraz anytime tryscorer @ 5/4

Bulldogs winger Jacob Kiraz has scored seven tries in his past seven games and is good value to continue his scoring run on Friday morning against the Sea Eagles.

While Kiraz has been moved into the centres, he can still pose a threat, especially in the wider channels.

Given his recent try-scoring form, Kiraz offers good value at 5/4 to add to his try tally against Manly at Accor Stadium this week.
