Lucky 63 Big Winner: Tango time beckons for big Betfred winner Ben from Gloucester
He's busy planning a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Argentina after smashing the odds with a £2 Lucky 63 that landed him a whopping £135,166.
He actually won £82,412 but thanks to more than £50,000 from the Betfred best odds guarantee promotion (BOG) his prize left him with enough to go partying in Latin America, as well as splashing out on some stocks and shares.
Insurance broker Ben, aged 31 who is a popular customer at the Betfred shop at Westgate, Gloucester studied form and after three hours made his selections.
He opted for Jagwar and Moon D'Orange at Cheltenham while Kerryhill was a non-runner and at Doncaster he opted for three winners on the day namely Jetara, Docpickedme and Classic King.
Jubilant Ben explained his thinking pointing out that Jagwar was an aggressive horse; Moon D'Orange has a good record at Cheltenham; Jetara always shows intelligence; the trainer of Docpickedme was bullish about the horse's prospects in a pre-race interview; and Classic King had shown good discipline switching to hurdles.
Dapper Ben said: "I have never been to Argentina or indeed Latin America. It's on my bucket list and my dream has come true. Hopefully there will be some good parties there.
"I have been a Betfred customer for six years because they offer the best odds. I will be investing in stocks and shares as well as having some fun."
