Football Betting Big Winner: ‘Fozzie’ beat odds of over 5000/1 with stunning 12-fold acca

Andrew Tiffin has always taken it in good spirits after he was nicknamed Fozzie after the bear of Muppet Show fame because of his mop of hair.
That was over 40 years ago and now, at 53 years old with less hair, he's smiling more than ever having won £5.2k from just a ONE-POUND bet on a 12-fold football accumulator.
He took around a minute to randomly select the 12 EFL matches played on Easter Monday at the Betfred shop at Granton Walk, Ingol in Preston, Lancashire.
Quarry worker Andrew, or Fozzie as everyone knows him, was pottering in his garage at home when he realised his bet that there would be more than 2.5 goals in the 11 afternoon games in the Championship, League 1 and 2 was happening.
He went inside to watch late goals reported on TV in the Blackpool, Stockport and Burton matches that kept his bet alive, and to keep his nerves in check then went off for a game of crown green bowling while Burnley v Sheffield United was being played at Turf Moor later on - a top-of-the-table clash the Clarets won 2-1 to clinch promotion to the Premier League.

Andrew said: "I'm not going to go daft with my winnings. I've given my wife Karen some of it to go clothes shopping and I may use it to get an MOT sorted or buy myself work van.
"They are really lovely people in the Betfred shop where like everyone else I know they call me Fozzie. I used to have bushy hair like Fozzie Bear and someone was joking and called me after the TV character. That was when I was aged 10 or 11 and it just stuck... everyone calls me Fozzie nowadays and I don't mind a bit!"
Andrew, who supports local Lancashire teams Preston and Blackpool, opted for the games at Hull, Luton, Plymouth, Sheffield Wednesday, West Brom, Blackpool, Burton, Crawley, Mansfield, Stockport and Wycombe as well at Burnley for his winning selections.
Betfred boss Fred Done said:
"I can't imagine what my nickname could be, but it wouldn't be Fozzie!
"Anyway, well done to him for such an amazing win from a tiny stake. It's interesting that this bet is proving popular at this late stage of the season with so many midtable teams already on the beach."
