French Lotto Big Winner: Punter Defies Odds Again for French Lotto Success
A Betfred punter is celebrating winning £30,000 from just a £1 bet on the French Lottery.
The online customer from the South Coast correctly predicted numbers 10, 12, 14 and 16 would be drawn out last Wednesday at odds of 30,000/1.
It was an incredible draw for punters who follow sequences with 18 being the fifth ball drawn.
"I wish I’d have done the five timer (at 150,000/1) when I saw the numbers!" said the winner, who wished to remain anonymous.
"No, I was very happy with the win. I actually thought I only had 50p on at the time so was expecting £15k but was delighted when I saw £30,000 had landed in the account.
"They are just random numbers that I have been doing for some time. Six months ago, 10, 12, 14 and 17 came out and I was gutted to be one out. The wife told me ‘you may as well be 10 out than one out, still win the same’!
"I’m a pensioner who had to retire early on medical grounds. I live a better life than I was prescribed, so you could say this isn’t the first time I’ve defied the odds!
"This win gives us some breathing space financially. We live a humble lifestyle and it won’t change too much. We will upgrade the car and maybe have a week away later in the year. It won’t change out life but is well received.
"I’d also like to say how fantastic Betfred have been. It was such an easy transaction to receive the winnings.
Asked if he plays any other lotto’s, the lucky winner replied "I do the Irish. I have done that for years when the only way to play was in a betting shop. Now I do them online and a friend mentioned the odds of the French lotto so thought I would give that a try."
