A big Manchester City fan plans to follow the Champions League holders to Belgrade after a remarkable win at Betfred.

The 42-year-old warehouse worker from Tameside, Greater Manchester, successfully predicted four Premier League games to finish 3-1, winning £7,317 from a 20p Lucky 15.

He opted for Aston Villa to beat Crystal Palace, Brighton to win at Manchester United and Liverpool to triumph over Wolves – and naturally the lifelong City supporter sided with his beloved team at West Ham.

“I was at the West Ham match and as I was leaving the stadium I checked the results on my phone. As you can imagine, I was in a bit of shock with all my selections winning 3-1,” said the jubilant winner.

He went on: “I picked Villa as they’re playing particularly well at home. Naturally, being a Blue, I went for Brighton at Old Trafford as I think they’re the better team.

“I thought Liverpool would concede, as they often do, but ultimately win at Wolves – and I just had to include City too of course.

“I’ll be using some of the winnings to go to Belgrade for the return leg of our Champions League group stage tie.”

Betfred boss Fred Done said:

“I’m paying out to a huge City supporter, who successfully tipped my team to lose on their own turf, through gritted teeth.

“In all seriousness, well done to this Betfred regular, who can now get to Belgrade to watch his team.”
