Betfred Big Winner: £37k Bingo success just the job with the ‘Beast’ lurking

Trips to Greece and even the Caribbean are on hold for Betfred bingo winner Angela Hall.

The number one priority for the Wigan grandma who won a whopping £37,500 from a £10 stake is to replace the faulty boiler at her semi-detached home in Whalley.

And she has a race against time to get the £4,000 job done, with the Beast from the East Mark Two due to batter Britain.

Angela, aged 60 who has been a Betfred online customer for nine months, won big in the Monthly Madness Network Room.

As well as the two holidays later in the year, administration office worker Angela is to replace her and her husband Martin's Ford Focus car. But as she explained she'll first of all be splashing out to replace the leaking boiler!

Practical  Angela said: "We have had the old boiler for at least 18 years. It started leaking and we got it repaired, and then it started leaking again recently. We are fed up with it and it needs to go. No doubt the quotes for a new one will be for between £3,000 and £4,000 but it will be money well spent."

She added: "My heart was pounding on the day I won. I just wanted number 87. Then when it came out I exclaimed 'Oh My God'. Martin was dozing and when he came round with me shouting he was thinking it was all a big dream. We had a few drinks by way of celebration.

"We have gone a long way to spending my winnings already with money for our five grandchildren, a replacement car, two holidays and most important of all the new boiler.

"I really enjoy the bingo at Betfred. You can chat to other customers online too although I was so excited when I won and my fingers wouldn't work."

Betfred boss Fred Done said: "We had a winner earlier this week in Scotland who is buying a new washing machine but for Angela she's investing in something even more practical. A boiler will keep her nice and cosy for years to come and with stormy weather forecast the timing could not be better."
