Betfred Big Winner: Carpenter hammers Betfred to the tune of £33k

Londoner Ian Preater has won £33,000 at Betfred from a FIFTY PENCE bet on the Irish Daily Million.

The 59-year-old carpenter's five numbers were all drawn out, resulting in his fantastic return.

Grandad Ian, a Spurs fan, plans to go on a month-long holiday along with six members of his family on the other side of the world in New Zealand!

He said: "It’s a blinder, and we're going to spend the winnings on a holiday no one will ever forget.

"I used to live in Australia but never got to New Zealand, which I always fancied visiting. Putting on 50p is obviously just a bit of fun, and it's brilliant I've been able to win so much.

"I won £10,000 with a lucky dip on the Polish Lotto five years ago, but this tops that. I couldn't believe it when I checked my account and saw so much in there."

The lucky five numbers have special significance for divorce Ian - a Betfred customer for seven years who is self-employed working on houses and refurbishing offices.

He explained: "Three is the birthday of my daughter's partner, 11 is the day of the month I was born, 13 my son's birthday, 21 my daughter's birthday and 31 is the ex-wife's birthday.

"We have to get planning now, but we are off to New Zealand for their summer with all the family, either before Christmas or early in the New Year."
