A retired security guard has won £50,000 from a just a £1 stake at Betfred.

Andy Williamson, a regular at the Betfred shop on High Street, Gillingham, Kent hit the jackpot with his accumulator on the 49's numbers game.

Jubilant Andy, aged 58 said: "My lucky numbers are loosely based around family birthdays and numbers I have stuck with for more than ten years.

"Naturally I'm so glad I stayed loyal to them. I've got a few ideas what I'm going to do with the £50,000.

"Firstly I'm going to book a holiday in Cyprus where I've been before, and is my favourite place."

Betfred boss Fred Done said: "Well done Andy - you have proved beyond doubt you can win big from the tiniest of bets with us."
