Yarmouth Tips: Oriental Art worth a look

Yarmouth stages a six-race card on Tuesday night and there are three selections worthy of support on the east coast, which you can find in my Yarmouth tips below.
The action gets underway at 17:40 and runs through to the final race at 20:10.
Yarmouth Tips - Wednesday, August 7
17:40 - Oriental Art @ 9/2
Oriental Art has put in three consistent and solid placed efforts on his last three starts and the six-year-old looks ready to get his head in front in the opening staying handicap at 17:40.
David Simcock’s charge ran well to finish third on good-to-firm ground over today’s trip at Ffos Las last time out and he is still unexposed over the one-mile-and-six-furlong distance.
Oriental Art has had just two previous tries over this trip and there could be a small amount of improvement to come from Simcock’s runner.
The six-year-old carries top weight for this contest but he is back in 0-60 company, having stepped up in class slightly at Ffos Las last time out.
Ned Sangster takes over in the saddle and he claims five points, which gets Oriental Art down the weights, and a big run is expected.
19:40 - Angle Land @ 2/1
Angle Land has plenty of boxes ticked in the five-furlong handicap at 19:40 and is backed to claim the spoils.
Robert Cowell’s sprinter arrives in good form, having just been touched off in a better race than this evening’s contest at Wolverhampton last time out.
The mare is a previous course and distance winner and the shape of today’s task looks likely to suit the five-year-old.
Only five runners are due to go to post, which should allow Angle Land to boss her rivals and control the race from the front, which nearly paid off at Wolverhampton last time out.
Neil Callan keeps the ride and Cowell’s charge looks good value to land her eighth career success.
20:10 - Annie Law @ 5/1
Annie Law should get her favoured firm ground this evening and the final race on the card can go to James Fanshawe’s runner.
The four-year-old’s last two runs have come at this venue, the latest 34 days ago, but the ground wouldn’t have been quick enough for the daughter of Havana Grey.
Before that, the going was described as soft, and those conditions certainly wouldn’t have been to Annie Law’s liking, but those two runs have resulted in a dropping handicap mark.
Annie Law earned a peak rating of 63, only last year, but she’s down to just 56 this evening and that looks a very workable mark.
Cheekpieces are applied for the first time, which could bring about some improvement, and she is a three-time winner who knows how to get her head in front.
Annie Law has won once, finished second twice and third twice in nine career turf starts, and there was enough in the fifth-place finish at this track last time out to suggest a win is not far away.
