Wolverhampton Tips: Loughnane to work his magic at Wolverhampton

After Monday's nine-race card at Wolverhampton, there are eight more races on the schedule at the same venue on Tuesday. Racing should get underway at 16:55, while the eighth and final race is due to get started at 20:30.
I've picked out my three best three picks in Tuesday's Wolverhampton Tips, with jockey Billy Loughnane hoping to get over the line with one of his five runners.

17:25 - Apache Star @ 6/4
Trainer Mark Loughnane has had his hands full with APACHE STAR, but the six-year-old has what it takes to repay that faith on Tuesday.
Since he went to Loughnane's yard in March 2022, Apache Star has only won two of his 38 races and the son of No Nay Never has been kept busy once again this season on the All-Weather.
Apache Star's last four runs have all come at Wolverhampton - the first of which was in December - and he continues to hit the post over five furlongs.
After finishing sixth over six furlongs in December, connections decided to drop him down to 5f and he has yet to finish outside the top three. Three consecutive third-placed finishes suggest this is the trip for Apache Star, and the addition of impressive young jockey Billy Loughnane should bring the best out of him.

18:00 - Critical Aclaim @ 6/4
Trainer Richard Hughes will expect CRITICAL ACLAIM to improve from his first outing when he runs at Wolverhampton on Tuesday.
The daughter of Aclaim finished second in February on debut at Kempton, coming in just behind Tuco Salamanca.
Tuco Salamanca subsequently went on to win on handicap debut at Wolverhampton, suggesting the form is rock solid ahead of Tuesday's card.
Hughes will have learned plenty about his runner since her first outing and he will expect her to be challenging the likes of Aviano and Aurora Majesty.
That pair look like the main rivals to Critical Aclaim, but crucially, Hughes’ runner will receive weight from both and that should make all the difference.

20:30 - Forest Spirit @ 5/6
FOREST SPIRIT is in line to make it back-to-back victories on the All-Weather in the final race on Tuesday's card.
The four-year-old was last in action on Saturday, winning over 1m4f at Southwell. Michael Bell's runner beat Moon Over the Sea by five lengths and connections are clearly hoping to strike while the iron is hot.
Forest Spirit has avoided a penalty for Saturday's success so another big run is expected off the same mark.
