Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Picks: Which Baffert horse to back?

Del Mar will have the eyes of the Horse Racing sprinting world on it this weekend for the 2025 edition of the Breeders' Cup. Our US Racing correspondent Paul Quigley has cast his keen eye over every Grade 1 race on Juvenile Day.
Race 7 on the card is the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies. This will get under way at 22:25 UK time and Paul likes the look of yet another fine Bob Baffert two-year-old...
Bob Baffert’s Explora (7) bounced back to a loss to Bottle of Rouge (2) at Del Mar by taking a Grade 2 over today’s distance at Santa Anita. She did it well, scoring by four widening lengths from La Wally (9) and La Ville Lumier (6). The extra ground seemed to suit her. The same thing could happen to stablemate and old rival Bottle of Rouge (2). She is bred to improve stepping up to a mile.
If it wasn’t for her last run, Tommy Jo (5) would have been a clear-cut favourite for this. She looked the leader in this division when taking The Spinaway (G1) at Saratoga. Almost six weeks later at Keeneland, she ran well below that form in The Alcibiades (G1). She couldn’t get by Percy's Bar (4) who she had beaten by six lengths the time before. The record books say it was a win but she needed the intervention of the stewards to get that race.
Iron Orchard (1) is three for three, culminating in a narrow victory in The Frizette (G1) at Aqueduct. She runs is more ground today will suit. The rail drawn filly may be one for price players.
