There's plenty of action from the US on Tuesday evening and we've picked out a trio to follow from Finger Lakes when the action gets going Stateside.

They include the class-dropping Alternate Reality for trainer Chris Englehart in the opening race over an extended mile.

US Horse Racing tips, Tuesday

  • Finger Lakes 17:15 – Alternate Reality @ 11/8
  • Finger Lakes 19:07 – Bay Bank @ 15/2
  • Finger Lakes 20:03 – True Empress @ 11/4

Finger Lakes 17:15 – Alternate Reality @ 11/8

Trainer Chris Englehart will hope that an ease in grade allied to a rise in trip can prove the tonic for ALTERNATE REALITY in the opening allowance contest over one mile and 70 yards on the Finger Lakes card.

The colt is already a winner over seven furlongs at Aqueduct and a mile at Belmont Park back in the early part of this year.

On his most recent outing, he was second over seven furlongs on the dirt at Belmont At The Big A early last month - form that stands out as both the winner and third home were successful on their next starts.

This contest represents a drop in class for Alternate Reality and going back up in trip looks a good move. He sets a clear standard on ratings.

Finger Lakes 19:07 – Bay Bank @ 15/2

David Jacobson's Hot Rod Rumble has been installed as short-price favourite for this allowance sprint over five-and-a-half-furlongs. He was second over course and distance recently on his first start after joining this trainer and brings leading claims.

This is a Betfred Extra Place Race (three places) and it might be worth taking the in-form BAY BANK to go in again.

Trainer Jeremiah Englehart has saddled the 3YO gelding on three occasions – all here over 6f – and he's got a second and two wins on the board. He overcame a sloppy start last time and ultimately had complete control once the field swung for home and this lightly-raced sort could have more to offer again in his quest to complete a hat-trick over this slightly shorter trip.

Finger Lakes 20:03 – True Empress @ 11/4

Cuz Ur Pretty was found out in a stronger race than this last time but drops in class now and could bounce back for trainer Michael Progno after a three-month layoff.

She's respected but TRUE EMPRESS is taken to go one better than her most recent outing. That came here three weeks ago when she was denied a short-head behind the re-opposing winner Take Chargechristy.

True Empress came through to challenge in that contest late on and, on even strides, looked set to hold off the runner-up but her head was down at the wrong time and they lost out in a photo.

They are now 8lb better off with the winner and that should be enough to turn things around for Luis Perez on the Michael Ferraro-trained filly.
