US Horse Racing Tips - Tuesday, March 11

- 22:18 Turf Paradise (Race 5) - Prance @ SP
- 22:46 Turf Paradise (Race 6) - Sharp Attitude @ SP
*US racing odds are posted closer to post time
21:50 Turf Paradise (Race 4) - For A Laugh @ SP
There is a possibility of rain which may mean this race could be switched to the main track. If that happens Vorpal (6) and I Am Freaky Fast (4) move up the pecking order. Vorpal (6) is a player on turf also based on the pick of his form at Santa Anita.
It will be interesting to see if The Robertino Diodoro trained pair take their chances on dirt as both only have form on turf. Run Bryce Run (5) has a fine late kick but did finish just behind My Cairo Kid (3) last month.
Stablemate For A Laugh (8) makes his local debut after tackling better competition in California. He’s not ran to his early promise with Michael Bell over here but has ran well enough Stateside to win a race of this nature. He’s been working well for his first start since January.
Shaun's Jazz (9) was backed as if defeat was out of the question when wiring a field of claimers first time here last month. This is a step up in class. He is dangerous on a soft lead no matter what the footing.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
22:18 Turf Paradise (Race 5) - Prance @ SP
Many chances here with the class dropping Prance (5) getting the vote.
The last time she raced on dirt in January, she won a better claimer than this one. Her trainer is having a lean meet but he’s had plenty of places runners to go with her one solitary victory. She should get speed to chase down and jockey Glenn Corbett knows her well.
Desert Rumble (3) and Willing to Burn (6) are both last time out winners. The pair are too sharp to ignore. Desert Rumble (3) had Can'thelpfallin (4) behind her. That mare may be set for best on her third start after a long absence. Willing to Burn (6) has speed but can run her race from stalk mode.
Even Pandura (2) has been running in better races on the turf. She is a seven time winner on dirt. This is her best chance of winning for a long time. Her trainer got off the mark for the year recently and Harry Hernandez is a positive jockey booking.
She deserves maximum respect on the big drop. Zelaia (1) may slip under the radar. She has been away since December. A win at Pleasanton in October is contending form. She is now with a capable trainer who has a good record with lay off runners.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
22:46 Turf Paradise (Race 6) - Sharp Attitude @ SP
Southern California shipper Avoir (4) will take plenty of money here. She as placed in a trio of starters at the end of last year. This looks a very winnable opportunity.
Her very best form has come on the turf. Her two dirt runs were fine although she did lose at a short price here in one of them last April. She is if not the gal to beat then certainly the one to fear.
The speedy Minedandrefined (1) has been placed in her last two starts. The slight cut back in distance should suit. There is a possibility she is dragged through fast fractions by Twisted Mischief (6) and Musical Diva (7).
Maybe Sharp Attitude (3) and Lusma (5) have better just off the pace running styles for this race shape. Slight preference is for the first named. She ran third to a pair of next time out winners on her return in December.
The five-year-old has ran a little below that form twice since. Maybe a trainer change will see her run her best race. Lusma (5) gets a class test after winning a claimer. She is going the right way.
Ethan's Girl (8) has not raced since August. Her trainer can bring them fit after a lay off.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
