US Horse Racing Tips: Paul’s quickfire treble for Monday

It's a new week and our US horse racing tipster Paul Quigley has three Stateside selections for Monday - a couple from Turf Paradise and one from Will Rogers Downs.

21:59 Turf Paradise (Race 5) - Howbeit @ SP

HOWBEIT (3) has won back-to-back starts since returning to Turf Paradise. Both times the winning distance was only narrow, but he beat decent standard-setters. He goes from one sharp claimer to another via a claim and is kept at a level he is obviously very competitive at.

The speedy Fort Necessity (7) was only nose off wiring the selection in December. He is dangerous if he can make the lead on his own. Cowboy Kisses (6) sat just off the pace when slamming a lesser field last month. He is another to consider if Howbeit is a short price.

Kanderel (1) is a new face to the track. He had form in much better races in California when last seen. They were on turf but he did run well on his one start on dirt. He has been working well for his first start since March. At his best, he should outfinish these.

22:24 Will Rogers Downs (Race 8) - Callitfateluckarma @ SP

Caleb's Finest (3) made a solid debut in an open maiden at Sam Houston last month. She was beaten less than five lengths after being slowly away. Now, she drops significantly in class facing her fellow Oklahoma-breds. As she was weak in the market, the chances are she improves a lot second time out.

She is a prime contender but slight preference is CALLITFATELUCKARMA (7). She ran her best race to date when third to a stakes race class-dropper in a maiden at Remington in December. Her trainer has been in fine form in Texas recently. His go to rider Elvin Gonzalez is aboard. She now races with lasix for the first time.

Gettin Out of Here (8) is a stablemate of the selection. He can go well if he gets back to her debut form. The speedy She's a Bond Too (6) is an all-the way chance going off her second at Sam Houston in January.

Today's US Racing Odds

22:30 Turf Paradise (Race 6) - Grazed By Love @ SP

Doradus (1) and GRAZED BY LOVE (5) ran third and fifth at this level, but over six and a half a furlongs on 12 February. Both had far from ideal trips. Doradus was slowly away. He blew the start again over course and distance subsequently. If he does so again, he turns a potentially good draw into very tricky one.

Grazed by Love was hung when behind the rail-drawn runner. He ran well in better maidens over a mile earlier in his career. With his trainer in much better form than at the start of the meet, he may be worth siding with.

Vinniebob (4) and Letsgotothebar (10) are others to consider. The first-named may improve for more ground. Letsgotothebar has been placed in his last two starts in slightly cheaper maiden claimers.

Siberian Slew (3) is the X-factor in here. The former California trained runner is unexposed. He runs first time for a sharp trainer.
