Us racing tips 2 1

Our US horse racing tipster Paul Quigley is back with his US racing tips for Monday night's action.

He managed to land one winner at Sam Houston yesterday, and now he bids for more success on Monday with three selections from Will Rogers Downs and Turf Paradise.

US Horse Racing Tips - Monday, March 24

  • 19:36 Will Rogers Downs (Race 4) - Seven Bridges Road @ SP
  • 22:18 Turf Paradise (Race 6) - Hidden Tiger @ SP
  • 22:47 Turf Paradise (Race 7) - Meant for Me @ SP

*US racing odds are posted closer to race time

19:36 Will Rogers Downs (Race 4) - Seven Bridges Road @ SP

Two runners who last raced at Delta Downs are contenders here. Mor Big Lee (2) drops in class after running evenly in an allowance event. The last time he ran for sale, he won back to back claimers at the start of the year. He does have to prove he stays a mile.

Not so fellow Louisiana shipper Seven Bridges Road (7). He was hung wide when beaten three lengths in a higher priced claimer last month. The six-year-old made a name for himself on turf but the pick of his dirt form makes him very playable.

Shadowless (5) rounded out 2024 with a fine effort. He gets significant class relief for his comeback. Asset Basis (8) has a recency edge on him. He won a claimer locally after being well beaten at Oaklawn. Verb (1) and Megatap (6) may come to life making the same move in track. The last named has a chance off his form at Prairie Meadows.

Ninety Two (3) is likely to rebound getting back on the dirt.

19:36 Will Rogers Downs (Race 4) - Winner Seven Bridges Road

Odds correct at time of publishing.

22:18 Turf Paradise (Race 6) - Hidden Tiger @ SP

The standard setters at the level are Ila Veiw Too (2) and Parker's Fifteen (1). The pair were placed in a race over six-and-a-half furlongs at the start of the month. Neither gal has that much speed especially Parker's Fifteen (1) so cutting back to this trip may not be ideal. If the pair can get clear sailing, they can win.

Chips (6) and Plum Creek (7) can make their own racing luck having early foot. The first named broke her maiden at Los Alamitos last month. She has subsequently joined a low percentage trainer who did have a rare winner last week.

Plum Creek (7) blew the start and lost all chance on her local debut. Aces Over Deuces (4) was a fair third in that race. She and Sal Gal (3) may improve stepping up from four-and-a-half furlongs.

Hidden Tiger (11) only scraped home in a maiden claimer last month. The first two finished clear of the third and the winning time was good for the level. She is likely to sit in the second flight and may be able to beat winners at first asking. Her regular rider Luis Valenzuela appears to desert her to maintain his partnership with Parker's Fifteen (1). That may help her price.

A trio of these had form in California. Union Harbor (5) goes for a sharp trainer. She didn’t get home over a mile in November. Riverside Rose (10) has tried two much tougher races since breaking her maiden on debut.

She is a likely springer in the market. California Bling (8) had been away since July 2023 when showing little on her comeback. If she comes back to her old form, she is a big player.

22:18 Turf Paradise (Race 6) - Winner Hidden Tiger

Odds correct at time of publishing.

22:47 Turf Paradise (Race 7) - Meant for Me @ SP

Hot Chicks Only (4) has ran well in both starts since moving from California. In the latest, he ran a half a length second in a similar race to this one. A repeat of that run is likely going to make him tough to beat. He has some tactical speed and goes for a very capable trainer. With that in mind, he’s likely to run big in this spot.

Stonevicious (3) and Street Humor (9) cut back from a mile. The former ran second in a claimer at Del Mar last time out in September. That level of form is good enough to contend in a race of this nature. Street Humor (9) has more tactical speed. That may mean a nice stalking trip just off the speed.

Meant for Me (5) may not be a same horse since a trainer change. He did run better second time with him earlier this month. The seven-year-old ran second at this level. He duelled from the inside and had no extra late on. He draws better here outside his likely main pace rival.

Maybe take him to win and with Hot Chicks Only (4) and possibly Street Humor (9) in forecasts. His former stablemate Peaceful Waters (2) may have to be sent early from his draw. He didn’t sparkle last time but it is interesting his high percentage trainer doesn’t plunge him in class.

Midnight Fury (6) may have been a short horse first time back when behind the selection last time. Tool Time (7) and Lansdowne (8) have won claimers here recently. The former stopped the clock in a fast time three weeks ago. Lansdowne (8) has the back form in better races to contend.

22:47 Turf Paradise (Race 7) - Winner Meant For Me

Odds correct at time of publishing.
