Triumph Hurdle Odds

The last day of the Cheltenham Festival starts with the Grade 1 Triumph Hurdle and at the time of writing there are 13 horses due to compete. We have three great offers on this opening race, including a freebet if 2nd, four places instead of three and will boost a selected horse at 11am on Friday. So, lets crack on and look at the Triumph Hurdle Odds at Betfred.

Triumph Hurdle Betting Odds

Majborough @ 11/4

Majborough was picked up by Willie Mullins following a winning debut in France last season and was fairly impressive when finishing third at the Dublin Racing Festival in February.

He looks a fairly short price though given his lack of big race experience.

Storm Heart @ 9/2

Another one of Mullins' seven runners, Storm Heart has won twice from seven starts and has never finished worse than fourth.

He won his maiden race over hurdles and then really shone when second to Kargese in the same race as Majborough at the DRF.

Nurburgring @ 6/1

Joseph O'Brien has a sole entry here in the form of Nurburgring, who switched to hurdles last season and has won twice in four starts over the jumps.

He finished 2nd in the Grade 2 South Dublin Juvenile Hurdle on Boxing Day behind Kargese and Kala Conti but will surely be amongst the places here.

Kargese @ 6/1

As already mentioned, Kargese has beaten several of the horses listed above already and has a good chance to do so again here.

In five hurdle races to date, she's won three and been runner-up twice and has taken a significant step up in class since her move from France to the Closutton yard.

This four-year-old filly is also in receipt of weight from her rivals and could be a good option for victory on Friday afternoon.

Salvator Mundi @ 15/2

Another French pickup for Mullins, Salvator Mundi is making his debut for his new trainer on the biggest of stages.

Finished second in his only start yet in France but must be respected given his connections.

Salver @ 9/1

Gary Moore's Salver has a perfect record in his four hurdle races to date, picking up a grade 2 Juvenile Hurdle along the way.

Obviously this is a big step up in class but his record suggests he might be up to the job.

Highwind @ 14/1

cheltenham extra place 4 instead of 3

Fratas @ 14/1

Bunting @ 16/1

Ethical Diamond @ 20/1

Mighty Bandit @ 25/1

Peking Opera @ 66/1

Ithaca's Arrow @ 80/1
