Horse Racing Tips: Bluey looks good for in-form Lavelle

There is a mixture of Flat and jumps action across the UK and Ireland on Sunday, with four meetings taking place in the afternoon. Kempton and Sedgefield host jumps cards in Britain, while more jumping takes place at Limerick, along with a Flat fixture from Leopardstown.
Amongst my Sunday Horse Racing Tips is one for trainer Jennie Candlish, who is heading back over fences having won a handicap hurdle off a higher mark.

14:16 Kempton - Bluey @ 5/4
Emma Lavelle has her string in tremendous form, with five winners from nine runners in the last fortnight yielding a strike-rate of 56 per cent.
She has a couple of good chances at Kempton on Sunday, but the pick of them could be Bluey, who is having her first start over fences.
The six-year-old mare progressed nicely over hurdles last season when dropped to two miles, comfortably winning novice events either side of a close second behind Jubilee Alpha at Windsor in January.
That form has been franked nicely, with the winner following up in a Listed event and the fourth landing a valuable mares’ handicap since, while the third went close at the Punchestown festival.
Bluey couldn’t make an impact in the Grade 2 Mares’ Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham or when upped to two and a half miles in a Listed race after she looked to do too much in front, but she looks to be well treated off a mark of 122 now handicapping over fences.
She should be a force after a summer break and well-suited to the demands of Kempton, given her career-best effort came at Market Rasen, which is also sharp and right-handed.

15:33 Sedgefield - Hostile Hotelier @ 5/6
Course form is always a big plus at Sedgefield, and that makes the Jennie Candlish-trained Hostile Hotelier of interest.
The seven-year-old has never won at the venue, but he has produced his highest Racing Post Ratings over fences and hurdles at Sedgefield, most recently when going down by just a neck after a 53-day break last month.
He followed that with victory in a 3m2½f handicap hurdle at Newton Abbot when last seen, travelling strongly and finding plenty to see off an in-form rival who was seeking a hat-trick.
Hostile Hotelier returns to fences now and gets the run off a mark 3lb lower than when winning over hurdles last time, which is also the same mark he had when going down by just half a length in a handicap chase over course and distance in April.
Hostile Hotelier hasn’t won in four starts over fences, but he’s placed on three occasions, and this in-form gelding can make it fifth time lucky in this sphere off a good-looking mark.

16:15 Limerick - Weveallbeencaught @ 4/1
It’s Munster National (16:15) day at Limerick on Sunday, and it’s no surprise to see runners from Gordon Elliott and Willie Mullins at the top of the market, given they have won three apiece in the last decade.
However, one who could provide better value is Weveallbeencaught, who represents last year’s winning trainer, Eric McNamara.
The eight-year-old, who switched yards from Nigel Twiston-Davies, made a promising return from a 175-day break when fourth in a 2m6f handicap chase at Listowel last month. He looked outpaced on the home turn over that inadequate trip, but stayed on strongly in the closing stages.
Weveallbeencaught showed some useful form in Britain, notably bolting up in a Doncaster handicap in January (recorded a Racing Post Rating of 140) and finishing fourth in the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival in March.
A mark of 132 looks workable, especially given he should strip fitter for his last run and will be better suited to this longer trip.
