Thursday Racing Tips: Its On The Line can win at Aintree again

Flat racing holds sway across the UK and Ireland on Thursday, with five meetings taking place across the afternoon and into the evening.
First off is Aintree before they go at Southwell, Taunton, Gowran Park and then Wolverhampton. Amongst Thursday racing tips is one for trainer Emmet Mullins, who has a runner bidding for another success at Aintree.
Horse Racing Tips - Thursday, April 9
- 14:07 Southwell - Queensmaite @ 11/1
- 15:30 Aintree - Its On The Line @ 7/2
- 20:30 Wolverhampton - Siam Ruby @ 1/1

14:07 Southwell - Queensmaite @ 11/1
Roy Bowring's filly, QUEENSMAITE, was an eyecatcher on debut, finishing a close third at Southwell.
After two more qualifying runs, this daughter of Massaat looked like the type that would drastically improve for handicap company. On her handicap debut, she was well-supported in the market, but after being bumped at the start, she lost too much ground to make an impact.
Now with more racing experience under her belt, she should be able to break her maiden tag off a low handicap mark of 61 in this open-looking race.

15:30 Aintree - Its On The Line @ 7/2
Look out for ITS ON THE LINE at Aintree as the Emmet Mullins-trained gelding bids for a return to winning ways in the Foxhunters.
This son of Presenting was narrowly denied in the Hunters’ Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. He battled hard to the line but just finished a neck behind Barton Snow. He handles Aintree better than Cheltenham, as he left behind a narrow defeat at the Festival to win this race in 2024.
Barton Snow re-opposers in this race, but Emmet Mullins’ gelding may just be capable of reversing the form with Its On The Line often performing better away from the Festival.

20:30 Wolverhampton - Siam Ruby @ 1/1
Ralph Beckett’s filly SIAM RUBY can thrive at Wolverhampton in the last race on the card.
This daughter of Australia was last seen finishing a close second at Doncaster over 1m2f on her first start of the Flat season.
She drops down by half a furlong for this race, which should suit because she was out-stayed by the winner in the final 110yds at Doncaster. That piece of the form does look useful, as the winner, Arc Ole Ole, was well-bred and well-supported in the market.
She’s in receipt of 5lb from her main rival for this race, Naana’s Crystal, who, after a narrow win at a mile recently, doesn’t look the type to enjoy the extension of the trip on offer.
With race fitness assured, Beckett’s filly should return to the winners’ enclosure.
