Friday Racing Tips: Kap Ouest can go one better

Jumps racing holds sway across the UK and Ireland on Friday with three meetings taking place across the afternoon, before two all-weather cards take us through the evening
First off is the eight-race card at Exeter at 13:40, before the six-race meetings at Ayr and Leicester get underway at 14:20 and 14:30. Newcastle’s first of nine races is set for 16:26 while Dundalk’s opening contest on an eight-race card is off at 16:37. Amongst our Friday fancies is one for trainer Harry Fry who’s unexposed chaser will look to secure his first win over fences.

14:40 Exeter - Kap Ouest @ 10/3
The CRS Construction Raceday takes place at Exeter this Friday and hosts a number of competitive races for race fans to get stuck into.
Race three is a Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase and while only five runners are set to take to the field, the one that catches the eye is KAP OUEST, for Harry Fry in the JP McManus silks.
The seven-year-old remains fairly unexposed over fences having just the one run to his name but showed his potential over the larger obstacles at Doncaster in that first run last month.
Fry’s charge was by far the lowest rated horse in the race but belied his 17/2 odds, running much better than expected to finish second. He should come along well for that experience and is off an unchanged mark in a much easier event on paper.
His sole win also came at Exeter over hurdles and he looks capable of adding a second win at the track in this contest.

15:10 Exeter - Jaminska @ 7/2
Jane Williams’ JAMINSKA is the standout contender in this competitive contest, arriving with form that suggests she could potentially be ahead of her mark.
The seven-year-old has enjoyed a solid season to date, consistently running well against tougher opposition. Her recent performances are particularly noteworthy, with her last two outings resulting in respectable third-place finishes, including in a Grade 2 handicap contest at Cheltenham.
While Williams’ mare can occasionally be weak in her finishes, she now steps down in class and this represents a much easier test than what she has recently experienced. She is expected to dictate the pace more comfortably and this race should suit her front-running style well.

15:40 Exeter - Pull Again Green @ 14/1
The most valuable race at Exeter this Friday is a Middle Distance Veteran’s handicap chase and features a host of competitive horses who will feel they have a good chance of winning.
PULL GREEN AGAIN though is an eye-catcher in this race and could be primed to run a big race in this series qualifier.
The experienced 10-year-old still retains plenty of ability and his earlier form this season demonstrates that he can be more than competitive off a mark of 133.
The Fergal O’Brien mount will be making his first appearance in veteran company and can make his presence felt in this sphere.
