There is a mixture of jumping and Flat action in Britain and Ireland on Sunday with three meetings taking place.

First off is Naas, before they go at Plumpton and Wolverhampton for their evening all-weather fixture.

Amongst our Sunday fancies is a high-profile runner for Colin Tizzard switching from fences to hurdles at Plumpton, with the remaining advised bets also coming from the East Sussex track.

Sunday Racing Tips

1.15 Plumpton - Authorised Speed @ 11/10

2.15 Plumpton - Eldorado Allen @ 3/1

2.50 Plumpton - Rose Of Arcadia @ 6/1

1.15 Plumpton - Authorised Speed @ 11/10

AUTHORISED SPEED was travelling superbly before falling two out at Ascot on his chasing debut last time and deserves the chance to make amends in the novice handicap at Plumpton.

The seven-year-old looked a natural recruit to novice chasing up until that point and might have gotten off lightly with a 1lb rise to 135. He ran in two Grade 1s last season over hurdles, firstly going off a short-priced favourite when fifth in the Tolworth before claiming eighth in an outstanding running of the Mersey at Aintree.

That race has produced stacks of subsequent impressive winners, most notably open Grade 1 scorers Crambo and Irish Point, and Authorised Speed can add his name to that list.

This looks a softer contest than the Ascot one and he can take this en route to better things for Gary Moore.

2.15 Plumpton - Eldorado Allen @ 3/1

An hour later at Plumpton there is a cracking staying handicap hurdle worth nearly £40,000 to the winner, and it is no surprise to see ELDORADO ALLEN running here given that purse.

He is not far off being a top-class chaser. He ran in the Gold Cup just ten months ago and demonstrated he remains in decent form by finishing an excellent fourth in the Coral Gold Cup last time, a race usually dominated by novices and probably Britain’s best pre-Christmas staying handicap chase.

This is clearly softer company for Eldorado Allen to overcome and he is yet to run over a distance longer than 2m1f over hurdles. He needs a trip and goes off a 10lb lower chase mark.

With high-class 5lb claimer Freddie Gingell taking another 5lb off, he could be tough to beat for Joe Tizzard, who has placed him shrewdly here.

2.50 Plumpton - Rose Of Arcadia @ 6/1

Tizzard and Gingell can also combine for another winner with ROSE OF ARCADIA in Plumpton’s feature Sussex National that follows.

Rose Of Arcadia is by no means a guaranteed stayer over 3m4f, but few in this field are, and she should be suited to this unique test, having twice dotted up over 3m2f and turning up in the form of her life.

The handicapper hasn’t punished her for a superb third-placed effort behind 140+ rated mares Pink Legend and Galia Des Liteaux at Newbury last time, a race in which she wasn’t well positioned at all given how slowly run it was (six seconds slower than the preceding novice handicap).

Gingell’s 5lb claim is again a major factor here and she can continue her recent upward trajectory.
