There's six UK and Irish meetings scheduled on a busy Tuesday featuring an evening of National Hunt fare from Stratford. Today's Horse Races at the Warwickshire venue run from 17:05-20:40, with ground conditions forecast to be 'good to firm-good in places'.

My Stratford Tips includes an odds-on shot for champion jockey Harry Cobden and his boss Paul Nicholls who's taken to complete a hat-trick.

Stratford Tips

  • 17:40 - A Day To Dream @ 7/2
  • 18:10 - Ned Cash @ 6/1
  • 19:10 - Matterhorn @ 4/6

17:40 - A Day To Dream @ 7/2

A DAY TO DREAM wouldn't match the Flat form of some of these rivals but may, for now, be ahead of them over jumps.

The likes of Reach For The Moon and Hot Fizzy Lizzy have scope for improvement for Jamie Snowden and Dan Skelton respectively, but Ollie Pears' son of Adaay gets the nod.

His form on the Flat was modest, at best, but he shaped with some promise on hurdles bow at Market Rasen (2m½f, good) in May and built on that early last month at Fakenham (2m, good) when finishing second.

He was denied by a nose in that contest by Pleasant Man, having led over the last with a good jump only to be worn down right on the winning line.

He can put that experience to good use now, with the fact he got into a battle and did nothing wrong providing plenty of encouragement that he can oblige here under former champion jockey Brian Hughes.

18:10 - Ned Cash @ 6/1

The first division of the Hook Norton Equine Vets Handicap Hurdle could be a good chance for recent course third NED CASH to register a first success.

The Richard Phillips-trained son of Blue Bresil twice shaped well in bumpers last year and has been getting the hang of things since going hurdling on his comeback at Huntingdon in April.

He was safely held in maiden/novice company at Warwick and here in May/June but took a step forward when switched to a handicap over 2m½f (good) here a fortnight ago.

He was outpaced off the home bend there and stayed on at one pace to be third behind a couple of the fancied runners.

He runs off the same mark and goes back up in trip, which looks a positive, and he should build on that previous run with Adam Wedge back on board this time.

19:10 - Matterhorn @ 4/6

Champion jockey Harry Cobden has a trio of rides on the evening card at Stratford, though just one is for his boss Paul Nicholls.

That comes on in-form MATTERHORN, the Johnny De La Hey-owned gelding bidding to complete a hat-trick and remain unbeaten over fences.

He won at Ludlow and Worcester in the last two months and had lots in hand at the latter venue last time after a good round of jumping from the front.

He's up another 4lb in the ratings now, but once more finds himself in a small-field affair where Cobden can likely set about dominating. There isn't too much to strike fear into them in this contest and they can collect again.
