17:45 – Crimson Spirit @ 7/2
Crimson Spirit has run just three times but the two-year-old is a colt with plenty of potential. Daniel and Claire Kubler’s runner showed big improvement when finishing fourth at Nottingham on his second start and he once again progressed when winning at Epsom last time out.
The selection appeared to relish the step up to seven furlongs at Epsom and he looks to hold every chance in the card-opening nursery.
18:45 – Billy Mill e/w @ 15/2
Billy Mill scored well in a Racing League contest over seven furlongs at Newcastle last time out and Rob Millman’s runner can do so again this evening.
The five-year-old had previously been an unlucky second at Kempton and the Newcastle success was a pretty impressive performance. Billy Mill surged clear at Gosforth Park, suggesting a reassessed mark will be within his range, and tonight’s likely strong pace should also suit.
At the quoted price, I’d advise going each-way for this suggestion with Betfred paying Extra Places – as is the case for the other six contests – on the race.
19:15 – Nordic Passage @ 9/2
Nordic Passage made the most of being well-in at the weights when winning a Racing League handicap at Newcastle 13 days ago but that might not be where the winning stops.
Johnny Levins’ charge had previously put up an excellent performance at the Curragh and the eight-year-old showed a game attitude when battling to get his head in front last time out. Nordic Passage and the second-placed horse pulled well clear of the third at Gosforth Park and the eight-year-old can put up another bold bid.
