Southwell Tips: King to be crowned on Tuesday

There's plenty of racing to enjoy on Tuesday, with three meetings taking place in Britain - one being a jumps offering from Southwell.
I've come up with a few Southwell tips for the six-race card in Nottinghamshire that runs from 14:05-17:00.
Southwell Tips - Tuesday, April 15
- 14:40 Southwell - King Of The Hill @ 7/1
- 15:15 Southwell - Kientzheim @ 6/4
- 16:25 Southwell - Stratton Oakmont @ 11/2

14:40 Southwell - King Of The Hill @ 7/1
The second race on the card is a handicap chase over an extended two-and-a-half miles, and it can go the way of KING OF THE HILL for trainer Sam Allwood.
His seven-year-old remains a maiden after a dozen runs but has made the frame in four of his nine starts over fences.
The latest of those came late last month at Warwick (2m4f, good) when second-best behind Ceowulf, as he split the market leaders in first and third.
That was his first run since last June, and given his previous record when coming back from a break, it is reasonable to believe he will improve for it.
He has a low mark and a low weight, while Toby Wynne also takes off 3lb in the saddle, and with that pleasing reappearance behind him, he's fancied to go one better.

15:15 Southwell - Kientzheim @ 6/4
Two miles is the test in this novices' hurdle, and the hat-trick seeking Serious Challenge is sure to be a popular pick for Fergal O'Brien, while last-time-out scorer John Barbour gives the yard a really strong hand.
They may, however, do well to hold off possible improver KIENTZHEIM for the Nicky Henderson and Nico de Boinville axis in the JP McManus hoops.
He won a Kempton maiden on Boxing Day on his first start after arriving from France, where he was 2-2 on the Flat, and has since finished third at Newbury in February.
The pair that beat him were given ambitious Grade 1 targets on their next runs, coming up short, but Tutti Quanti (third) won in very good style at Ffos Las last week for Paul Nicholls.
If he can be convinced to settle better in the early skirmishes, Kientzheim has scope for plenty of improvement.

16:25 Southwell - Stratton Oakmont @ 11/2
Trainer Kayley Woollacott will be hoping a return to Southwell provides the spark needed for STRATTON OAKMONT to get back to winning ways.
The nine-year-old boasts two wins and eight more placed efforts from his 19 starts over timber. One of those wins was at this track over C&D in November 2023, and he was also placed over shorter before that.
He was pulled up here in February but ran well since at Newbury back up at this three-mile trip, only beaten around six lengths. He's below his last winning mark now and could outrun decent odds in this company.
