Southwell Tips: Feivel can star in a Southwell tail

There’s jumps action at Southwell on Thursday afternoon, with a bumper seven-race card from the Nottinghamshire venue.
Feivel goes to post in the handicap hurdle at 16:40 and the Stuart Edmunds-trained runner looks set to boss his rivals from the front.
Southwell Tips - Thursday, March 27
16:40 - Feivel @ 11/2
Feivel is a tough frontrunner when on-song and Stuart Edmunds’ charge can control his rivals in the handicap hurdle at 16:40.
The 10-year-old has finished in the first three in 10 of his 16 runs over the smaller obstacles. and a win at Exeter off a rating of 116 last year suggests that the gelding still has more to offer.
Feivel put in an excellent run over fences when only nabbed close home at Fontwell in November and, although the next three runs have offered little encouragement, he is now down to his last winning mark over hurdles.
A five-runner field should allow jockey Charlie Hammond to get to the lead and Feivel is likely to prove a tough horse to catch.

17:10 - Sailed Away @ 13/2
Sailed Away can make it a double on the card for Stuart Edmunds in the first division of the handicap hurdle run over two-and-a-half-miles at 17:10.
The seven-year-old has been lightly raced in recent times, but Sailed Away made his return from an absence at Market Rasen 23 days ago and that was a run full of promise.
Edmunds’ runner travelled into the race kindly and looked a threat two out, but the six-year-old could only finish fourth.
However, it appeared pretty clear that a lack of a recent run may have told for Sailed Away and there could be improvement to come on Thursday afternoon.
The track and ground should be ideal for Edmunds’ charge and the seven-year-old looks set to go close.

17:40 - Our Pink Lady @ 5/2
Our Pink Lady brings a Southwell record of 3,5,1,1 to the track in the second division of the two-and-a-half-mile handicap hurdle at 17:40 and James Owen’s charge can enhance his excellent course form.
The seven-year-old was only narrowly denied at Huntingdon 15 days ago and that run confirmed the well-being of Owen’s hope.
Our Pink Lady was nudged up a pound for that head defeat to Imperial Jade, but the mare remains below her last winning mark and she has won twice at Southwell during the month of March.
