The fourth race on day three (Thursday, 15:20) of the Cheltenham Festival is the hotly-contested Ryanair Chase, which will feature the winners of the previous two editions - Protektorat (2024) and Envoi Allen (2023).

Training master Willie Mullins boasts the favourite on this occasion, looking to get back on the winning trail in this race after winning three on the trot before Envoi Allen broke the streak two years ago. Below you will find the Ryanair Chase odds for 2025.

Fact To File @ 5/4

Mullins' Fact To File rose through the ranks in his novice season over fences, claiming two Grade 1s including the Brown Advisory at this meeting a year ago.

The eight-year old won the John Durkan at Punchestown in November but his reputation has taken a bit of a hit recently when beaten twice at around 3m by the two-time Gold Cup champion and stablemate Galopin Des Champs.

Fact To File should relish this reduction in trip and is yet to finish outside the top three in all 10 of his starts as a chaser.

Il Est Francais @ 3/1

The second favourite is untested at Chelteham but has an "outstanding chance" according to rider James Reveley, as long as the French star can hand himself over the jumps.

Il Est Francais has impressed over the last two years at Kempton on Boxing Day, and almost snatched the King George VI last time out after leading from the front. Comes to Prestbury Park in good form as a result and his attacking style is suited to the chase courses.

He has an impressive engine and could have a chance of repelling challengers if leading from the front and the jumps can go as smoothly as possible.

Protektorat @ 6/1

Suprisingly, last year's victor Protektorat is only third in the bookies' listing, which adds value. It seems like Dan Skelton's star, part-owned by Sir Alex Ferguson, is being underestimated on this occasion and to some it wouldn't be at all surprising to see the 10-year-old go back-to-back, following in Allaho's footsteps for Mullins in 2021 and 2022.

Protektorat arrives in Gloucestershire off the back of a hugely impressive win at Windsor in January, in which his jumping was flawless. He favours the soft ground so if the conditions are optimal, then it may just be his to lose.

Djelo @ 12/1

A tempting each-way shout is presented in Venetia Williams-trained Djelo. The seven-year-old gelding finished third in the Grade 1 Golden Miller over this course and distance last year and that looks to have spurred him on this season.

Djelo heads here off the back of two Grade 2 victories and there was much to like about the latest which came at Newbury in February. If the ground is soft, it could play into his hands and a place finish would be achievable.

Jungle Boogie @ 12/1

Having moved from 11/1 this morning, Jungle Boogie is another to consider as one of the outsiders. The 11-year-old gave a fine display in the Gold Cup last year despite being unable to stay for the full trip.

He is trained by Henry de Bromhead, who saddled Envoi Allen two years ago, and Balko des Flos in 2018 before him. Jungle Boogie won easily on his last start at Ascot in November but that is his only outing so far this season.

A bit of a wildcard but for a place, he could be worth a punt.

Envoi Allen @ 16/1

De Bromhead's 2023 winner is cracking on a bit now, just like his stablemate, but one last hoorah at the Festival is not outside the realms of possibility - especially as Prestbury Park has already witnessed some twists and turns already this week.

Keeping up with the fresher legs may be an ask on Thursday but his experience should serve him well in the Ryanair, as well as the fact that he will be reunited with Rachael Blackmore, who steered him to the victory two years ago.

The veteran finished second behind Protektorat in last year's edition by four lengths. If he can keep with the pack, and the younger stars make any errors, Envoi Allen will be primed to strike. Could be a valuable each-way selection.
