Day 2 of the Royal Ascot Festival is taking place on Wednesday and our Betfred Ambassador Frankie Foster is back with his Lucky 15 for the action today, which would payout £1168 on a £15 Bet (50p e/w) as of the time of publication…

Frankie Foster’s Royal Ascot Lucky 15 Tips:

  • 15:05 – Yerwanthere – 9/2
  • 15:40 – Jumbly – 5/2
  • 17:00 – Sonny Liston – 12/1
  • 18:10 – Barnwell Boy – 7/2

50p e/w Lucky 15 (£15 stake) pays £1168

15:05 Yerwanthere was travelling very nicely in a 7f listed event at Naas last time when denied a clear run. Previously she won over the mile on the AW so the trip shouldn’t be an issue. If she finishes the race as well as she was travelling, then a mark of 93 could be very handy!

15:40 I am hoping for a quick fire Joseph O’Brien double, with Jumbly looking the most likely winner of the Duke of Cambridge stakes. On her first start for Joseph O’Brien, she had to come from the back of the field and nearly caught the winner when finishing her race really strongly.

Ryan Moore is booked again and hopefully in a relatively small field, will have no problem passing them in the straight.

17:00 Sonny Liston is another making his 2nd start for a new stable and is a fascinating runner in the Royal Hunt Cup. Once rated 106 after placing in a G3 at Goodwood he now comes into this race off a mark of 100 for Ralph Beckett, who has secured the services of Ryan Moore.

He is a horse that has clearly had his issues, and on late form hasn’t lived up to his original promise, but it only needs to go right for him once and a Handicap like this might be the chance.

18:10 Similar to River Tiber who won on day 1, I believe the most exciting thing about Barnwell Boy, is the fact that he won his race so easily despite running green in parts.

There looks to be a lot of talent and a lot of speed there, hopefully he can put it all together after gaining some experience on debut.
