Road To Cheltenham

There was no Matt Hulmes - who's enjoying a well-earned break in Germany - for Episode 8 of The Road To Cheltenham, but no matter, for things were left in very capable hands.

Frankie Foster and Joel Ross, regulars on the Betfred TV feature, took the lead, starting, as always, with a review of the weekend.

Willie Mullins' Asian Master was the first horse discussed. Is he now a player in the Supreme after extending his record over hurdles to 2-2?

Arguably the biggest talking point was Allaho, who has been splitting opinions online after his 14-length Grade 2 success at Thurles. What do the lads think of his performance and his chances of winning another Ryanair? Tune in to find out.

Also at Thurles that afternoon, we saw the unbeaten High Class Hero land his fifth victory in a row. Is he the Albert Bartlett winner? Frankie in particular was very complimentary about Mullins' seven-year-old. Music to my ears.

What about the British horses? JPR One was declared the home team's best two-mile novice chaser... but is that enough to place in an Arkle? Likewise, L'Homme Presse's Gold Cup credentials are put to the test after his comeback win at Lingfield the other day.

Before getting into their - and Matt's - latest antepost selections for the 2024 Cheltneham Festival, Frankie and Joel also answer questions sent in from punters. Stage Star, Bob Olinger, Firefox and Langer Dan are all discussed. Not to be missed.

As for those tips, we've got two 10/1 shots in the Coral Cup and Mares' Hurdle - plus a 16/1 poke in the Arkle. Fascinating stuff as always.

Stay tuned to Betfred Insights for more Cheltenham Tips as we build-up to the 2024 Festival
