Road To Cheltenham 2024: Jonbon or El Fabiolo?

Will it be revenge or repeat when El Fabiolo and Jonbon meet again?

That was the big question put by Matt Hulmes to both Frankie Foster and Joel Ross on Episode 4 of The Road To Cheltenham.

The score between the Nicky Henderson and Willie Mullins pair is currently 1-1, with the 'decider' on the horizon - most likely in the Champion Chase at the Festival. But could it be earlier? The lads discuss that very possibility.

They also mulled over the informative clash between staying novice chasers Stay Away Fay and Giovinco at Sandown on Friday. Joel has a very interesting idea about the former, which isn't to be missed.

Also on the agenda this week was a look at the Arkle picture, which after a key race here in the UK last week is already looking like a penalty kick for the Irish.

Novice hurdlers step into the limelight, with Joel labelling a recent winner as a "real player" for the Ballymore - and he's name-dropped an unraced Champion Bumper type for Willie Mullins who's expected to run in the next couple of weeks. Very exciting indeed.
