Punchestown Festival Day 5 Tips: De Bromhead set for successful Saturday

The 2025 Punchestown Festival comes to a conclusion on Saturday, with another eight-race offering including two Grade 1 contests.
I've studied the card and landed on two Punchestown Festival Day 5 tips, for one of my favourite trainers in the game.

15:05 - The Short Go each-way @ 13/2
I'm a big fan of Henry de Bromhead's THE SHORT GO - and I remain adamant he's a well-handicapped chaser with a big one in him.
I was sweet on the eight-year-old son of Fame And Glory's chances in the Ultima at this year's Cheltenham Festival and I thought he was running a huge race in spite of a poor round of jumping before fading late in the piece.
That's entirely forgivable, being that it was his first run in 114 days, and I'm hoping the cobwebs have been well and truly dusted off ahead of Saturday's assignment at Punchestown.
I'm admittedly unsure about whether he wants four miles or not, but I'm confident he's a good bit better than his mark and that he'll love conditions.
He rates a good each-way bet in this Extra Place Race, with Betfred paying five places instead of four at 1/5 the odds.

17:25 - Raglan Road each-way @ 8/1
My final fancy of the 2025 Punchestown Festival is another De Bromhead inmate looking to follow up an encouraging effort at Cheltenham.
RAGLAN ROAD was a career-best third in the Martin Pipe won by Wodhooh, who's since franked the form, at HQ and he's very much of interest in this Listed handicap hurdle over 2m4½f.
The JP McManus-owned son of Soldier Of Fortune has progressed quite quickly through the handicap ranks over the past 12 months or so, rising from a mark of 119 in March last year to 131.
I think we're yet to see the best of this horse and hopefully there's a lot more to come.
It's interesting that Mark Walsh rides over Willie Mullins' Jalila Moriviere, who makes plenty of appeal in her own right.
In another Extra Place Race, with five places available, he looks a great each-way proposition.
