Pertemp Network Final Handicap Hurdle Odds
Jeriko Du Reponet @ 5/1
Trained by Nicky Henderson and ridden by Nico de Boinville, Jeriko Du Reponet looks likely to go off as the favourite here. Heading a big field, the six year old has pedigree, but his recent form may leave concerns. He seemed to lose his running rhythm back in November and although he looked better last month at Exeter, he still finished third - with competitor for this one Catch Him Derry taking the win.
I’m not sure I’d be backing him as the favourite here even though he has a big reputation. Wearing headgear for the first time which could spark an improvement.
Win Some Lose Some @ 13/2
Certainly one worthy of consideration. Win Some Lose Some, trained by Padraig Roche for JP McManus has decent credentials as was the winner of a handicap at Leopardstown that featured 20 runners.
That win came at Christmas and he could improve again here, with four wins in nine starts over hurdles to date. Seems to be an improving horse and has clear potential.
Will The Wise @ 15/2
A return to Punchestown saw a return to form for Will The Wise recently as he landed the 2m6f maiden hurdle under Keith Donoghue. Back in May the six-year-old also won a bumper on his debut, but subsequently struggled in three runs over the hurdles.
However, taking his form from this last showing there are positives, as a step up in trip seemingly helped him to a length and a half victory. Gavin Cromwell said after that win: "He had been disappointing. We couldn't figure out why and we still don't know. He was good out there though, he travelled and jumped and Keith was happy with him everywhere in the race.”
It seems a big ask for him to translate that victory into another success here, but it’s not completely out of the question. A tough horse to place right now.

Feet Of A Dancer @ 8/1
Paul Nolan is no stranger to winning the Pertemps having seen Mrs Milner win back in 2021 and it feels as though Feet Of A Dancer comes into this one with a similar preparation. You can’t deny she’s been a constant improver and if the ground is kind, she could be a key contender.
Third of 20 at Leopardstown recently where she stumbled over the last hurdle when leading, so there is good reason to believe she could go well here if she gets round without error.
D Art D Art @ 9/1
Famous punter Paddy 'Mad' Merrigan has given D Art D Art his full support, which could explain some of the market shift, down to 9/1 now at the time of writing.
After a couple of disappointing showings at Down Royal and Gowran Park, he has bounced back into decent form with a really nice run at Navan and a proper race at Carlisle to get qualified for this one. He travelled well in both and could cause a bit of a shock here if it opens up for him.
Catch Him Derry @ 12/1
Beat the favourite for this race Jeriko Du Reponet at Exeter last month in what could have been the best performance of his career so far. Two wins out of his last four starts have seen him disappoint on New Year’s Day but hit new heights at Exeter last time out.
Named after a hilarious viral YouTube video in which an Irish family try to catch a bat in their kitchen - no seriously you can watch that here - Dan Skelton’s runner could land a big win here if he can replicate what he did at Exeter.
